When the jackpot is huge, I may do a similar thing, with the pool #s I used to run at work. Still, I blow about 130 or so, a month, even w/o those numbers. It's too much for me to think about so I don't. I play some sets of numbers I've been playing all year, with the tiniest of results. Think you had a typo there gary. the last number was 49, not 50. In the Texas lotto game, there are 6 decades in the game. Singles, teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's. It's a bit counterintuitive, but more players for MM probably reduces the chance of jackpots growing ever larger. More players = more tickets sold for each drawing = higher chance of a winner in any given drawing = fewer expected rollovers before someone wins. On the other hand, More tickets sold = more money goes into prize pool = larger jackpot increase per rollover. I haven't done any rigorous calculations, but I'm pretty sure the first factor outweighs the second.
