SoCal man sues to get share of $315 million lottery jackpot
This is the only way to do it. Read my Blog regarding Lottery Pools. I think the more formally you tie it up, the better all the way around, especially if you Win. My ideas about Pool governance include a stipulation which states that if a Pool Member fails to make two payments in a row on time he/she is dropped permanantly from the Pool-eliminate the dead wood. I also have a BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT included. I injected a few snappy catches that could contractually foul up a real dead-bea

Woman found guilty of stealing winning lottery ticket
Here's what I think: if you have a lottery pool, do not send someone from outside the pool to check the numbers. Especially a relatively poor person with children. Leal had essentially become like any poor convenience store clerk, someone who had the ticket to a new life in their hands, if only they could get away with taking it. It was only the legal freight train barrelling down on her that caused the ticket to be lost instead of cashed in. She is guilty, but some of the guilt should be spr

Oregon Powerball winner will finally be announced
I don't think there is a limit on how high the jackpots can go, despite rumors that there's some bogus law limiting jackpots of both games to $500 million. What is true is that Powerball has a cap on ROLLOVERS whenever its jackpot reaches a record level; it limits rollovers to $25 million and puts the rest of the cash in a match 5 bonus pool; in fact, the $340 million jackpot produced a match 5 bonus pool of $32 million cash, which was split 49 ways between all the match 5+0 winners, in addit

Members of Kansas Air Guard Unit Win $853,492 Lottery Prize
Lt. Governor John Moore and Kansas Lottery Executive Director Ed Van Petten introduced the winners of the largest Powerball prize ever won in Kansas, without hitting the jackpot, and presented them with an over-sized check on the south steps of the State Capitol. The winners, 44 of them, will share $853,492. Thirty-four of the winners are members of the unit known as the Kansas Coyotes - the 190th Air Refueling Wing of the Kansas Air National Guard, based at Forbes Field in Topeka. Nine are fr

Buy every ticket?
The only way to loose is if the jackpot was split with another person(s).Don't forget all the lower tier winnings prizes. It would be 41 second prizes worth $8.2 million plus the bonus pool money worth many millions more (you would have about 60% (you would have 41 tickets against roughly 25 other bonus pool winners)) of the pool right now, which would be much higher than the posted $13 million (you would have added more than $145 million to their sales projection). You would have over 3 million

Maddogs Mega Million Challenge 7/5
Urug,I checked all 328 drawings and found 15 drawings usually covered a pool of numbers that contained all 5 winning numbers 35% of time and 16 drawings covered them 36%, since the numbers covered by 15 drawings this time were the same as 14 drawings which usually covered the 5 numbers 34% of the time, I added the sixteenth drawings which covered 41 numbers.DR=#5 hits 5=2 6=4 7=5 8=6 9=1410=1011=912=913=1314=1515=1916=15Instead of reducing the numbers to a smaller pool, I allowed the numbers to

tracking tracking and more tracking ... track the numbers that come out in your state mix hot and lukewarm numbers in your pool. Don't put numbers that aren't hitting in your pool. in a 5/39 number game put numbers from 9 to 32 in your pool. look at the history and find hot numbers that haven't hit in 7 to 10 days these are the luke warm numbers. Mix them with numbers that hit 2/3 days ago. good luck. If you play/wheel 12 numbers on 10 tickets you might trap the numbers but most likley you get 2

Illinois Lotto draw now on Monday.
Quote: Originally posted by ryanm on April 4, 2005 I cannot believe they don't sell more than 1 million lotto tickets with a jackpot like this! No wonder it keeps rolling. I must correct myself. They sold an estimated 3.672 million tickets for last Saturday's drawing. I forgot to multiply by 4 to take into account the 50% prize return rate and the fact that $1 buys two plays. The way this is estimated: All second and third place prizes are pari-mutuel There were 51 second place winners,

Lottery software development ideas
I do not share the disdain showered upon Biglooser on his sharing of his findings and info on number selection'. It is entirely possible that he is justified in feeling that he has developed something that might lead to some lotto winnings. In an odd sort of way I feel I can share Biglooser's optimism over his findings. I have found a way to build a pool of numbers to be further considered for selection.Take a look at my ticket from the M.M April fools day drawing. I feel that it supports
