How To Predict Future Lottery Results
Hi, Bob:
Thanks for your sincere sharing!
I have made the backtests for NY-5/39 by using your 23 combs and gotten the similar results with RJOh.
New York Lottery Take Five numbers has been drawn in the 5176 previous draws from 1/1/1999 to the last
update date -12/25/2013. But they did match 2/5=11265, 3/5=912, 4/5=31, 5/5=0.
The bet=$119048 and win=$38300. The profit=38300-119048=-$80748.
Also, I think your system is different from Mr. F Isaac's.
If my understanding is corr

Mathematics and the Lottery
Your mentality is exactly why people believe in the martingale system and exactly why casinos (and lotteries) love people who believe in it.
The percentage of winning players in the simulation should be exactly the same in the next
You said so yourself, only a few managed to show a profit. Let's say 250 out of 25,000 or 1%. Run it again, go another 5 years, and only 2.5 survive this time. We'll say it's 3. Okay, same percent (1%), have another go and guess who survives????? Zero, which i

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Here's my post from yesterday re: Oh Classic Lotto. Original Post was by RJOH in Jackpot Games Forum.
Here is last nights' drawing my Group 73. NOTE: Last night's drawing matched 5 of 6 twice in the top 2 lines. What are the odds in only 1,032 total drawings. I shouldn't say odds as they are all the same, but I will say the chances are unbelieveable.........................

Ohio Classic Lotto (6/49) at $16.6M/$8.3M cash
RJOh Ohio Classic Lotto 3 of 6 12-14-18-20-33-38 14-16-18-28-36-38 $5
The best I could do tonight with ten lines with Classic Lotto was 3of6, I'll have to wait until 11:00PM to see if I did any better with my ten PB lines. Oh well, OCL rolled to $45.5M/$21.2M cash for Monday so I'll get another chance at it.

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
RJOh is so convinced that his winnings in Ohio are the result of his system that he can't conceive of the possibility that anyone would have no need or desire to learn its details.
Did you fall down, crack you head, and are you having problems focusing?
There are only two choices when purchasing lottery tickets; either pick the number or purchase QPs. When a self pick wins the jackpot, they are always asked how they decided on those numbers. If the winner says they were a combination of

RJOh,
You asked, Are you suggesting that any effort beyond using quick picks and combinations of birth dates is a waste of time?
If you read below, you can answer your own question.
Please excuse me for paraphrasing myself.
Yes! You CAN effect the DISTRIBUTION of your winnings!
The mathematics governing probability in lottery games is elementary and pathetically simple. There's no logical reason AGAINST selecting your numbers in any way you wish. You won't lose [or

Congratulation Texas
No argument there RJOh. The Texas Lottery Commission prides itself on looking like a bunch of buffoons.
They effectively killed the Cash5 and now have their sights set on the 6/54 game.
The Texas Lotto started as a 6/50. It was doing fine so the TLC, in their infinite wisdom, chose to make it a 6/54. That didn't work so wellso they moved to a 6/44 + 1/35. Grumble, grumble.
When that failed, instead of going back to the 6/50 the players wanted, TLC went back to the 6/54.
Now, they ha
