100% agree with Masone on this. Money can't buy happiness with my lot in life, but I am already happy. Maybe not so secure financially, but money can solve that for sure. That is the other hassle with people who are not consistenly in the pool. I am very careful to look at the last participant list and only include those names with the ticket bought with winnings. These people may only have their name on the $20 ticket sheet, but they get a copy of all tickets with their name excluded. I list everyone alphabetically and the other 45 players know, and that person knows everyone knows they are excluded. Thanks

To me, both games will be about the same: 50% return, extremely hard to win 1-in-175M jackpot games, with return of 5-10% during typical play, so you don't want to play much of it. Both MM and PB are pari-mutuel in CA, like all other draw games. On the surface, it seems like we are getting shafted on 5+0. But the trick is the amount rolls over so that prize on MM is often higher than $250,000 and will probably often times be higher than $1,000,000 on PB. It all evens out over the long run.

I will. I have a lot going on with my lottery pool now, and want to make sure i generate the best numbers possible, if people are going to trust me to help them win big. But one more quick tip... if you look at the winning line numbers, you should split each number into two groups (high and lows) that would be the the 2nd number in a two digit number, and the single number it's self if that is what was drawn. split them in groups (0to4 is low) and (5-9 are the high number group.) well to add to the people who run pools are morons thread i have a tale. i ran a pool, ,,, no thats not it,, :D and handed over running it to a buddy who CAN read and seems intelligent. but he still messes up, not a bigy becase we play on my system of low cost entry in every draw. ie min entries. about $700 a year between the 3 of us. anyhow he came home with tickets he didnt check, and the clerk didnt enter right. he didnt check till too late, and yeah here we can do refunds. al

How many raffle tickets to buy?
The latest Michigan $10 raffle has a virtually unlimited number of tickets. How many tickets do you buy? If you buy one, and it was going to win, and then buy another one and change the number of tickets in the pool so that you then lose then you have wasted your money. So how many tickets do you buy when the number of tickets is virtually unlimited? The question is easier when the number of tickets is limited but we are talking the latest Michigan raffle here.
