Lottery officials say identifying winners a must
I wonder if any of the folks in this forum who vehmently oppose anomomity have actually won a multi million dollar jackpot?
As far as I'm concerned, only those folks that have won such jackpots would know what it's like.
The rest are just opinions.

Powerball reaching record jackpots due to the odds just got harder?
Not to mention that you would never have time to fill out all those bet slips, nor would the clerks get them all printed out in time. You would need to be printing tickets 24/7 and they take a lot of time. Plus you get machine jams also. Your eyes would be buggy after about 1,000 slips with millions to go. Even a huge team of people would probably not get it done. You would also need big boxes of those bet slips and to carry all those tickets, and people waiting in line at the store are gonna be

States That Allow Winners' To Remain Anonymous
It appears that winners' in Tennessee can claim anonymously. What is the situation in your state.
The Robinsons, who made it back to Tennessee to submit their winning ticket Friday afternoon, could have taken up to six months to redeem their prize. Tennessee Lottery rules also permit jackpots to be claimed in the name of a trust for more privacy.

Tennessee should aggressively market lottery tourism.
Think about it, the state could make a lot of money promoting itself as a lottery winner's mecca!
Their slogan could be Stay a while and win Powerball!
Tennessee is just a few hours from me and I plan to take trips there to buy tickets when Powerball jackpots get large. That is my grand strategy for winning in 2016.

Tennessee couple claims share of $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot
Lots of jealousy in these posts as usual when someone else wins something big.
They can do what they want to do.
Give them some credit that they deserve. There will be more chances of big jackpots in the near future.
Cut them some slack. They are winners. We were not on this drawing.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
That is the not the problem or how much was spent, but all the hype and buzz if wanting to win the first billion dollar jackpot. I got used to not winning the regular jackpots long ago but this one was a lot more exciting. I am talking about when the jackpot gets enormous like this one, or several hundred million and everyone on here is posting and exciting about winning it then it ends as is usually does with no one on here winning it. I was disappointed bt not depressed as I said I got used to

Wild Card
I'm pissed. So mad. I've been a loyal fan of this game for years and if they replace it it will probably be another two dollar game with horrible odds. I don't play Mega Millions or Powerball very much and then there is Hot Lotto which is iffy although I like it better than MM/PB because it has better odds, Lucky for Life is a good game but 2 bucks a ticket, Weekly Grand offers a measly prize for 2 dollars a play, Pick 3 isn't a game that gives you large jackpots and I don't like Scratch Offs. $1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Yeah but you got many saying I'll wait until it get to a billion again before I play. Waiting does not make the pot go up it slows it down. It blew up fast once it got to $700 million because then people REALLY started playing. As if that much money is not enough. Just goes to show you how gullible most are and how they fall for marketing hype. I will take $40 million no problem. But as I said the cost does not make sense when I can play MM for a dollar with better odds and still a huge jackpot.

$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Point is Powerball isn't just difficult, it's near impossible to win. For players wagering small amounts, it's simply entertainment - most fully expect to lose, or at best, win a few dollars. Casual players are, in large part, who drive large jackpots. Most won't be playing again anytime soon until there's an overly compelling reason to toss money away for a 1 in ~292 million chance at a dream .
MUSL has a challenge on their hands to keep sales up. Changing the matrix again to make it ever mo

Who Do You NOT Want To See Win a Top Lottery Jackpot Prize?
Whether you like it or not,the types of people you listed, their money is as viable as yours.
Hypothetically,if you started trimming of the kind of undesirables from playing the lottery in your world, the jackpots won't be as large.
Think about this point, there'll be lots of people with more money than sense who will no doubt be collectively spending millions to get this $1.5 billion.
They also have as much right as you to crack the big one.
