I agree, at least these folk are savvy enough to know that perhaps this total is not enough to retire on at present.Whatever their reasons, 9 million is not a shabby amount. Im waiting for my first million. Congrats to them.

Retirement
It depends on your co-workers because if you like your job then you could stay but your surroundings could make it difficult to stay. Like hounding you for money from co-workers or people just changing at work and treating you differently. That would make the last two years a pain in the butt to be their even if you love your job. Ok the Jackpot is back down to normal
I play the Daily 4 game for $2 straight to win $10000. Why wouldn't I spend $2 to try to win millions? If you don't play, you are guaranteed 100% not winning anything. The problem with only playing when the jackpot is huge is that we don't get to pick when we might win. That $20 some million will let me retire without a monetary care in the world. Of course it's possible that the company really downsized and had other good reasons to eliminate that office, but I'd guess that worries that they could lose a substantial portion of the staff was a big f

Perhaps a homeless person who has no computer, newspaper subscription or access to their own phone. They could panhandle for a few minutes, make the .99 cents, make the call, find out they won, then retire to the wino district.
