Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Those ideals are absolutely important to the Iowa Lottery. It's our job to stay one step ahead of those who would attempt to break the law. We can't speak for other lotteries, but here, we think it's important that we provide for separation of duties and functions within our organization; maintain multiple layers of security; publicly release the names of winners; and work closely with law enforcement if and or when any concerns are identified.

Definitely hiring Seal Team Six as my security
Then soon you realize, why isn't anybody shooting at me. And it ain't because of your security detail. People just forget about you unless you live across the street from TMZ and/or are flashy.

Does a $1Billion Jackpot change your 'What You would do if you Won the Jackpot' Plans Any?
The only thing I can think of at the moment, is that I would consider increased security measures.

Is Powerball Jackpot Electronically Deposited or Do They Give You a Physical Check
Why would anyone even need a security guard? The check is only payable to the winner and if lost or stolen will be cancelled and a new one issued.

Is Powerball Jackpot Electronically Deposited or Do They Give You a Physical Check
I read in the Calif rule book, it is by check. They will provide a security guard to accompany you to your bank, though. I never read press coverage about people picking up the check so at least they allow you privacy in that regard.

Are you going to buy any subscriptions in 2016?
The number one issue for me, would be anonymity. In the interests of safety and security of winners, they really should be allowed the option of remaining anonymous.

Steve Player Systems Trade
I've become interested in this Steve Player and his systems from reading what you guys have posted and from other mentions of his systems in other topics. I've gone to his site to purchase a system or two and find that the site's security certificate isn't valid. Any of you that has purchased his systems run across problems like this while trying to purchase anything from him?

Maine gives names of Hot Lotto winners to Iowa team looking into rigging scheme
The names of Mainers who won cash prizes in the Hot Lotto game between 2010 and 2014 have been forwarded to Iowa officials investigating a burgeoning jackpot fixing case that may have affected winnings in at least five states.
Officials with the Maine State Lottery said Hot Lotto winners and prize amounts were shared with the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations. To date, investigators have not discovered any link between Maine Hot Lotto winners and Eddie Tipton, a former security offic

More lottery winners using trusts to accept prizes anonymously
You know what's weird, used to be celebrities bought properties and conducted business under the shield of corporations, but that's not really working any more. I've seen TMZ and E! out celebrities and the names of their corporations when they buy a home. Then they publish the photos and features of the house.
If a D-list celebrity like 50 Cent has to shell out $9K a month on security, the lottery has some nerve publishing a winner's information when they're not picking up that tab. They want

Are you ready for the attention?
ALL these people are heavily stalked, regardless of how much security they have. They get countless rape and murder threats, there are many kidnapping plots, for example against the Beckhams and Joss Stone. What about all the Kidnapping For Ransom? Not an issue?
