Marcie on January 2005 I did my workout and saw 5555 coming so I told the ticket clerck give me 10.00 straight she said the number was sold out and the machine would only give me 4.00 I won nicely that day, The Next time was last year Georgia played 2222 and That one was for 20.00 dollars. So yes I would and have done it, but only when I have that gut thing right after I do my work out. If not... no way, I will stick to 50cents straight 50 cents box and keep it moving!

Well, when I tried to buy my Powerball tickets the machine wouldn't take my playslip. The cashier tried several times, and even used a pencil to go over my number selections. Every time she tried to run the slip through the machine, it said invalid ticket . Maybe I should have taken it as a sign and used the quick pick, but I didn't think about that until later.

I saw something akin to that except in reverse. A lady bought one ticket from the vending machine - won $50, bought another - won $40, bought another - won $100. She then went to the clerk, cashed them in and left. Some people know when to quit. I think I would have kept buying til I hit a loser in case it was my lucky day but who knows, maybe she's got the touch. It sure beat playing til you lost everything.

dr65 if I see a ticket on the machine that was given back I ALWAYS buy it....PS..When I hit that 38 excata box that day for about 650.00 I also hit the cash 3 that same day for 350.00..It was my day to say the least..Buy mistakes and keep mistakes..Good luck..

Maybe I'm stupid?..How would you get the lotto machine to pick 3 numbers for your power ball ticket and you pick the other 3?..The machine always picks all 6 numbers..I alo think there have been more QP winners in power ball then anyother way of winning?..Maybe I misunderstood the first post?..

Usually there are 5 slots to fill in on a playslip. Fill the first slot with your number, the 3 middle slots with QP, and the last slot with the same combo as the first slot. This is a hidden portal magic that will generate the middle slots, as they are trapped into randomize winning combos at some prize level. When the slip goes into the machine, the player has to say the magic word Abracadabo before the machine slips out the ticket for the portal to work.

No have the Clerk to scan the ticket, and give you a recipt saying it is not a winner. or take it to another Clerk. we have these new machines that you can scan you tickets yourself. and the Machine will print sorry your are not a winner. This is in Ohio.

I have never heard of a NY lottery machine spitting out 2 tickets instead of 1?? THe only thing I run into is the clerk putting in the wrong number like tonight, wanted 818 on the 3 way and clerk did 181 . And I also ALWAYS take the ticket, and pay for it.

Why would anyone ask someone they don't know if a ticket is good?..Sign the back with your name and address hand it to the clerk and let him see on the machine if it's good..Problem solved..No wonder people lose when they win!!.....

I don't have any use for these machines.They have a habit of eating your money and not giving you your ticket(s).I've had tickets get hung up inside the machine and clerks refuse to open them up to retrieve my hung up tickets.They are nothing but a pain in the a$$.
