a poll about annuities and lump sum
Four4Me, okay...if it's a guy thing I probably would never understand. Regarding the subject of annuity vs cash, let's hope one of us wins enough someday so we can decide which way to take the money! Most of the time I enjoy different viewpoints, so when I debate an issue, it's really not an argument.
Jarasan, Korea and Vietnam are different from China. I know that in many parts of Asia people eat dogs and they are served in restaurants. Cats are more of a delicacy. I was talking abo

Multipliers : Are they a good deal?
I think multipliers are good if when you hit the prize level goes up.
But in my personal case if I wanted to split my jackpot win with other family members say a 3 way split I would purchase 3 exact sets of numbers ther by having 3 separate tickets.
Heres your ticket. cash it in.
Heres your ticket. Cash it in.
Heres my ticket to cash in.
No problems creating this or that or do we take annuity or cash.
Each of us can decide for ourself on what we want to do.
And also if there

I am willing to pay...
If you have a sincere interest in learning about the stock market, there are a few things you must do.
First and foremost, turn CNBC OFF. It's only purpose is to help tell you what happened yesterday. There are a multitude of legitimate websites (many of them sponsered by a brokerage) of live or very short time delay stock quotes.
Go to the book store and find the book that you can understand (and beleive me, many are so dry, I have no clue who can stay awake long enough to read them) on

I have a question about payments.
Below is what the State of Georgia does http://www.galottery.com/gen/aboutUs/faq.jsp#14
Q.Are State Federal Taxes withheld on Georgia Lottery Prizes?
A.Yes. All Georgia Lottery prizes are subject to applicable federal and state withholdings, and state and federal income taxes. The GLC reports to the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue the names of winners of prizes of $600 and above. Georgia state income tax of 6% and federal income tax of 25% are withheld from prizes of more than $5,

Super Hot Lotto 2010
Replaces the current Hot Lotto. Available through all 31 MUSL members. Matrixes are 5/45+1/45, which was the original Powerball game. Jackpot starts at $2 million (annuity is the same as the existing PB.) To prevent SHL from competing directly with PB, the jackpot is capped at $40 million. If still no winner, the jackpot level is rolled down to all eight lower tiers, like in Massachusetts Ca$h WinFall.
The lower tier prizes are as follows (same or higher than the original PB):
5 + 0 $100,

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
Thanks.
I wasn't sure if I'd continue, or if anyone missed them, but here's today's comments on PB:
The powerball has rolled over. The cash value is $81M. The advertised annuity jackpot is $178M.
The average sales for 14th draws are 33.5M. If this is the number of tickets sold for this drawing, the randomized probability for various numbers of winners is:
079.48%
118.25%
22.10%
30.16%
40.01%
The sales figures for last drawing have yet to

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
MM has rolled over. The cash jackpot is 7.7 million dollars and the advertised annuity jackpot is $14M. This is the smallest rise in the MM jackpot since the matrix change.
Second round MM sales average of around 15.8M in sales. If the MM sells an average number of tickets for a second round draw, the probability of various numbers of winners will be:
091.41%
18.21%
20.37%
30.01%
Lottoreport has not posted the sales figures for this last drawing, although

mega millions vs. powerball
Lessee. $50 M annuity probably comes out around $25 M cash value. Minus maybe another 50 percent taxes, so the real, spendable value of a $50 M prize works out to maybe $12 M.
$12 M.
I'm trying to recall what's the most money I ever had in my hand or my bank account in my life, free and clear, no strings. In dollars, not investments, vehicles, gadgetry.
Unless I'm mistaken it was something in the neighborhood of $60K. Seemed to me at the time I thought it was a middling amount of mo

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
MM has been won. The jackpot is reset at $6.8M cash, 12M annuity.
The average 1st draw sells 15.9M tickets.
The winner probability distribution is, if the draw sells an average number of tickets, as follows:
091.35%
18.27%
20.37%
30.01%
With the jackpots in the two largest MM states, California and New York, being considerably higher, the MM may not sell an average number of tickets. It depends on what happens tonight. The last first drawing a few weeks ago, sold les
