Lottery Cafe
i had the idea of starting a business for online gambling... you could go into the store...buy a coffee, or a sandwich, even a beer, or some jack and coke...play quick draw or regular lottery games...i could make money by selling lottery tickets...(no scratchers!!!!) with some help from people on LP...i could possible win a jackpot in quick draw...or keno...that would help finance the cost of the lease...there would be some sofas...maybe a tv...kinda like a lounge for lottery players, mayb

Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
It was probably frozen before he even got to spend a dime, or at least before he spent too much. Everything I wanted to say has already been said though... Lottery pools suck, if you buy personal tickets don't do it at the same time or even place you buy pool ones and gift taxes suck. Personally I would never give any one person a million dollar gift, not just because of the taxes (even if the exemption has been raised for a limited time) but because that's a lot of money for someone

NJ man sued over $38.5M lottery ticket
Not in a pool at this time, and have no desire to be in one since joining LP but, Your system sounds like one the best i've heard of, and buying your personel ticket on a different day, at a different place makes it cut and dry.

NJ man sued over $38.5M lottery ticket
I run the lottery pool at my place of employment. I have a 9x12 envelope that stays on the file holder on my office door. Everyone puts in their own money and then signs the envelope. I buy the tickets the day of the drawing, scan them, and then send everyone an email with the scanned copy of the tickets. Then the tickets get locked in a safe. If we win money that is more than the group put in for tickets, it is divided up. Anything less goes back in for the next drawing. Also, the winnings t

Take 5 New York
Whenever I'm in or around NYC I buy a ticket or two. It hasn't done me any good, but I always think that maybe being part of that sales pool might help. Remember too that NYC sees thousands of people every day that commute to their jobs in Manhattan (New York County) from New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange Counties. I gotta believe there are more than a few folks in that group that buy tickets near where they work. From time to time, I

Brad Duke had the first numbering system on the internet?
Gail Howard had lottery systems before the Internet and personal computers, she advertised books and paper/pencil systems in lottery magazines that went out of business after personal computers and the Internet became popular. The stories and lottery information these magazines were selling could be gotten free and faster off the Internet. Back in the eighties, a co-worker and fellow lottery pool member gave me a floppy with a Gail Howard lottery system on it. To my surprise the program was w

Weak Powerball Sales?
Good point, but on the other hand it take less to fund the pool prizes without the mutiplier. Before the change the multiplier multiplied all prizes. If you win 4 + BB you got $10K and with the muitplier you could win 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, or 50K. With the $2 ticket you now win 10k. With the $3 ticket you win 40k. Same all the way down the board. No $500 3+1 winners, no $15 BB. It costs LESS to fund it with no multiplier. And the lower tier prizes have not changed except for the $4 BB

lottery calculator
RedStang The numbers are only active for the matrix that is loaded. Increasing the pool size at the top will activate the numbers. Example, If you set the matrix for a 5-39 then only 39 numbers are used. If you set it to 5-60 then all 60 will be active. RL

For those who put too much money into the lottery...
I agree with your conclusion, Farahsan. You're always better off to play as an individual. Lotto groups can be nothing but a headache to be in and a nightmare to collect if you win. There are too many horror stories of people losing everything they invested to unscrupulous pool operators who also stole the winnings. Especially if they are in a different country than your own. Good luck to you!
