I am on a losing streak
Hi Groppo, Well hoping for the jackpot by playing just MM and PB hasn't worked out so far due to the astronomical odds of winng the jackpot.lol. When I play PB or any draw game I just buy one ticket with a QP, the few times I bought 5 tickets for a draw I still won nothing. The matrix on MM having to get 5 balls out of 75 is like a keno game it's just too hard to win. Guess you don't like scratch tickets. Even though the odds are still very hard on a scratcher more people end up winning jackp

Powerball is kicking it up-10 millionaires were made tonight!!.
If recent past history is any indication, it's near certain to backfire... Sure, Powerball and Mega Millions will remain highly profitable, but, presumably, will generate revenue at a slower pace than in the past. Many participating lottery jurisdictions will respond by focusing their marketing elsewhere - Powerball and Mega Millions being relegated to being niche games, occasionally getting mainstream play only when the jackpots get huge. Already seeing that - many players have cut way back

What, no systems to win a jackpot game!
What, no systems to win a jackpot game? I'm looking a the most recent posts in the system forum and all I see are systems for pick3 and pick4. Is it that winning those games have odds of 1:1000 and 1:10000? Have LP members come to the conclusion that trying to effect their odds of winning a jackpot game is a waste of time and the only thing worth doing is buying a ticket and hoping to get lucky? Or have jackpot games with higher odds and lower jackpots lost their appeal? I noticed the last

Race and the lottery
At best we can say lottery players are 18 and over or whatever the minimum age is, buying tickets anonymously, and the majority of wins are prizes under $600 with no record of who wins what. Someone could keep statistics on MM, PB, or state lotto games jackpot winners, but because only a tiny percentage of players win jackpots, those statistics are basically useless. It's like a LP poll asking what members do for a living and how much a year they make. Even if every answer is the truth, it is

First winner of big Illinois Lotto jackpot didn't let riches change him
Three things struck me That $40 million was at some point, a record breaking amount, now it's a starting off point. 30 years from now will people consider $600 million jackpots blas ? He actually won a fight in which he got to pay LESS taxes. Wow. He was getting death threats even before the information age swung into gear. Unnecessarily stressful, fear-filled situation. Anonymity needs to be an option in every state. Anyway, good for him. It's good to read stories about grounded Winners

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
One of the reasons I prefer PB is that MM are media wh0res. Always plastering the names and photos of even second and third tier winners on their website for weeks at a time. That plus the much lower chance of winning a MM jackpot made PB my favored MUSL. Guess I won't be playing either game casually after 4/15. Only when I get a hunch or get swept up into lottery fever...both of which are happening less and less. I will say that I'm not understanding the need for the change. MM changed to en

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Have to agree with you. The Scratchers 2nd Chance end of game jackpot is a life changing amount, at least the biggest ones (I'm thinking $750K or bigger). Losing the chance (albeit a small chance) of wining that pot of gold at end of the rainbow is a bit of a downer. Even winning 2 100K jackpots is not the same. I enter every ticket. Along with the end of game jackpot -- admittedly a $50 winner ain't going to be that life changer jackpot -- one gets an entry into a $20K drawing. Still not a l

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Would you consider laying 1,2,3,4,5+6 or any of the other extremely common combinations? That and playing for small jackpots are two sides of the same coin. In the unlikely event that you do win, the amount you win will be less than what many others win. You are far, far more likely to not win, making the amount (or the combination you choose) irrelevant. Since it's a game of chance, the only thing you can control is how many chances you have, and the potential prize you have a chance at. In
