Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
I just read elsewhere on the internet where one guy said that he and his cowokers were in a lottery pool of 5 people total and they got the tickets, copied them, and listed the names of all five who played and it was all legit......... However, one of them went back and got one single ticket...... and hit for $116 millions.....The remaining four are still working at the job, except the guy who won.... This man said because of his experience, he thinks these IT guys should share especially

Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
I may be wrong here but the way I see it , if he wanted to share the wealth , he would have bought into it unless a prior arrangement was made to buy the ticket for that draw if he wasn't available when the collection from who was in was made. Don't you just hate it when people win and say they never but a ticket until the jackpot is over 200 mil . I usually buy a ticket or two no matter what the prize is . I also play in a pool of 25 people every draw . the only thing is, they choose to p

DID Mega Millions roll over ?
I've always been interested in this mysterious Mega Millions Consortium. As I understand it, MUSL was set up to help small states that didn't individually have the resources to easily run a lottery. And Powerball was set up for states that are too small to support big jackpots. MUSL offers services for free, and earns income from interest on the jackpot pool while that money is sitting in the bank waiting to be won. Mega Millions is the opposite, set up by big states that have resources t

What Are You Doing Different For The Big Mega-Millions Jackpot?
That dollar and a dream thing just took a hike. LOL. I usually buy 1 line with the megaplier. This time 5 lines with the megaplier. At work I buy tics for a pool of 10 people for either PB or MM, whichever is highest. 10 lines each drawing. We're lucky to win a couple bucks here and there though we did win $100 on PB in January. Ridge, what exactly is a Booga-Booga dance? Is it like clog dancing? And by the way, what exactly is clog dancing? Is it dancing to clear a clog in a drain?

$244 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery frenzy ramps up
I really don't notice too much of a frenzy anymore when the MegaMillions and PowerBall jackpots get large. Now that they're both sold in pretty much all lottery states, the jackpots grow faster and are won more often. It's just a more commonplace occurence that people don't get so excited about. None of the people who I work around ever want to start pools anymore either. (I wouldn't join a pool anyway.) I honestly can't recall the last time I had to stand in line to buy lottery tickets excep

What's with NY Sweet Million??
I AM obsessed with figuring out the correct SM numbers, I admit it, but not obsessed with spending lots of money that I can't afford on tickets like some people do. I didn't get any MM last night because I am in a pool with 20 people, so I just like that ride, without purchasing any more tickets for myself. I read something interesting, getting five winning numbers on MM is just about the same odds as winning SM JP (about 1 out of 3,900,000), but to win the million on MM, you have to shell ou

What's with NY Sweet Million??
I think the jackpot on Thursday should have reaped the benefit of the Buy 5 Get 3 promotion. As you can see, simply the number of tickets matching 3 numbers ($3) simply doubles than the drawing on Jan 27. We had 18446 $3 prizes on Feb 3, but only 8948 $3 prizes on Jan 27 drawing. In the South, in Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky, since this month, they are rolling out a Pick 6 game called Decades of Dollars, what their jackpot offers is either $250,000 per year for 30 years (total $7.5 million)
