First you should mention which game you are talking about since most states have their own games that offer million dollars prizes in addition to offering the multi-state games MM and PB. The information is available if you care enough to spend time gathering it.

Mega millions price increase to 2 bucks?Reply
All of these big multi state games changing their game matrixes is really starting to get old. Not just Mega Millions, but Powerball, Lucky for Life, and Hot Lotto have all been restructured these past few years to have significantly worse JP winning odds. Barring a big half billion $ jackpot I'll be playing only Mass Megabuks Doubler and Tri State Megabucks from now on.

I would agree on theory. Technically since its a MULTI STATE game its actually feasible for the Mega Million to change rules and make it that the participating states agree to anonymity or full disclosure. I tend to find transparency to be key amongst adults and systems.
