Lottery programs and never a Pick 5
Ever notice on thsoe lottery programs they show on Discovery and TLC they've never shown a pick 5 winner?
They have shown people who have won some nice prizes on scratchers, one recently aired one (was a repeat or an update) showed a woman in Virginia who hit a scratcher for $500,000.
I know the Illinois Little Lotto has been over a million a couple of times or more, and I'm sure other pick 5s have too.
I guess pick 5 just gets no respect .

Curious about PowerBall and Mega Millions
Here in Arizona, there is the Pick 6 (6/44), the Pick 5 (5/35), and the Pick 3 (3/10). I know that the Pick 6 and the Pick 5 are ball driven, not computer generated. And the Pick 6 and Pick 5 have 4 different ball sets, each, with a ball set picked at random at drawing time (I assume, but how exactly are they picked at random?). And are the balls weighed and measured? Do the balls have to met certain specs? I assume that the situation is similiar with the Pick 3, but then again I don't know.

Question for JADELottery a LP member about their picks...
Numbers for MM 2007-03-27 : 18 25 34 35 42 - 6
Exclusion of all numbers changed the Pick 5 probability from pick 5 of 56 (1 in 3,819,816) to pick 5 of 37 (1 in 435,897) and the Pick 1 probability from pick 1 of 46 (1 in 46) to pick 1 of 38 (1 in 38). The total probability changed from (1 in 175,711,536) to (1 in 16,564,086).
Inclusion of all would have been, Pick 5 (1 in 11,628) and Pick 1 (1 in 8); total (1 in 93,024).

The "no-no" ticket as a lead to a quick pick
I'm putting this here as it applies to Pick 5, 6, and jackpot games, and it's not exactly a system and not exactly mystical.
I'm just wondering if you played 1 2 3 4 5 (Pick 5) or 1 2 3 4 5 6 (Pick 6) on a play slip and the played a Quick Pick immediately after that combo on the same playslip if it would kind of psych out the lotto terminal computer, act like a key to a winning combination, maybe 4 hits or or better.
Worth blowing $2 trying, no?

How Lottery Numbers Work?
Not sure if you ask for Pick 3/4 game or Pick 5 / 6 or 5+1 game.
In Pick 3 and Pick 4 sequence is important but depending how you wager you can get smaller prize for not-correct order. See above posts.
In Pick 5 or Pick 6 or Pick 5+1 game, order is not important. Usually it is presented in ascending order so it is just easier to read.

LottoVantage update
I think the reason you never got a more favorable response is because of the type of game, Pick 5. I only became interested with Pick 5 about a month ago. Just recently have I started looking at the game seriously. I don't have any stats handy to back up my statement, but I would guess Pick 3 is probably around 60% and Pick 4 around 30%. I don't recall ever reading one of your threads, because I was only interested with Pick 3 4. Lottolaugh's string threads really got me interested in Pick 5.

pick 3,4 vs lottery
I play only Powerball, though I've only recently ceased playing New Mexico Road Runner pick 5 (5/34). If I were in a state with a pick 5 I trusted I'd play it.
I play jackpot games because I think I stand a better shot at getting a decent win from it than from pick 3 and pick 4. I don't consider the odds to be a significant factor in winning and losing. If I did, I wouldn't play pick 3, pick 4, pick 5, or Powerball.

Systems and Strategies 101
RJOh,I actually would not mind presenting some basics in - at least my - strategies for PICK 5, PICK 6 or other games. Usually I use tools - and guess others do too - to come up with these numbers. One of the problems is that lotteries other than PICK 3 and PICK 4 do not get very much attention in this and other forums. Besides of difference in chances and winnings, most of those games only occurs once or twice a week which minimizes the amount of posts related to them.My basic strategies (or ru
