Well there goes Illinois Lucky Day Lotto...
Today was the 4th day of the new matrix and the jackpot is now $500,000.
Northstar is probably loving it knowing that higher jackpots attract more players.
Of course it's higher, it's harder to hit.

Virginia woman wins Cash 5 for second time
$100,000 on odds of 1 in 278,256?
Hey Texas Lottery Commission. Are you paying attention?
Our Cash five jackpots are rarely $20,000, usually $17,000 with odds of 1 in 435,897. That plain sucks.

The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure!
Game enhancements include larger and faster-growing jackpots, better overall odds
That's mostly true, but it's not exactly a promise.
The changes are better overall odds and a chance to win $1 million for a buck though with terrible odds. The best bet is probably using the Megaplier.

What actually happens when you win the lottery.
I had thought that I read somewhere that funds were electronic, but about 4 days to clear depending on your bank - for Texas Lottery winnings. Multi state takes a minimum 2 weeks for all the states to send the money to the winning state.
Wasn't there someone here who reported that for the multi state jackpots, your home state would pay an initial $1m or so in anticipation of collecting all the funds from the various states?
I sure would like to find out how this works first hand, though!

What threads entertain lottery officials the most?
Well, the new Monopoly Millionaires game that's coming is probably in part to people complaining about one person winning huge jackpots, instead of many people winning a million dollars. So the lottery folks are listening, and reading LP.
Go back to PB's webpage and read the FAQ's. There is a question about why they don't have the game set up for a lot of people winning, and he answers that they tried it and no one played. We'll see how this new one does.
I agree CT, the one's reading LP p

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
The main gist is that people are crying for a game that will pay a million dollars to a lot of people instead of one person winning a huge jackpot. So, this game is designed to do that along with a game show on tv that will air sometime in 2015.
I'm not sure I want to drop $5 on something like this. I'm not opposed to playing $5 or $10 on a draw, but I am selective when I do. Personally I'm not too interested in being on a game show on tv either, but I imagine there are a lot of people who wo

The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure!
The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure. They promised higher jackpots more often.
I actually thought we'd see $500M JPs more often. I don't even think we've had one since the matrix changes. Have we?
There was a time I never skipped MM draws but now I do and I don't ever feel guilty. My budget is down to $4 a week for MM

Massive Ohio Lotto jackpot finally won
The Rolling Cash 5 is fine for smaller, pay-off-debt/loan amounts. Depending on your age, it's not going to mean early retirement or any change in life-style.
I've spoken to this before, so I'm repeating a theme, but the former Ohio Lotto (under different names over the years) started with a $4 mil JP, increased usually $1 mil per draw and was won somewhere typically between the $6-30 mil marks. That's serious money by anyone's standards...or should be.
Then along came the national lottery

$66M Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in metro Detroit
The Michigan lottery has never sold a losing ticket, ever .
Well, the last winning PB ticket was just in Tennessee.
So, that means Michigan sold the losing ticket for that draw. Dude, you are making some rather stupid statements. As another poster pointed out, states don't win jackpots, people do. RANDOMLY.

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
She told me about the GA 7500 week for life game about two weeks before it came out, she showed me the promotional material she wasn't allowed to post up at the time.
She said there is a new super lottery with a $5 price point coming by the end of the year, the goal is to have high 9 figure jackpots and the worlds first billion dollar jackpot. At the current matrixes it will be highly unlikely along with the low starting points to ever see a billion dollar jackpot. I heard about this website
