Lottery pool can't be a business in Tennessee
Can't find the actual ticket sales for Classic Lotto by drawing so I can only guess it averages around 300,000 based on the jackpot increases. I did find where Classic lotto had $42.3 million in ticket sales for 2012 and that average is around 275,000 per drawing. Nether figure is enough to expect lots of jackpots and with only a 2% chance of having jackpot winner every drawing, it could be a very long time.
If the sales are 300,000, at best there should be an average of only six 5 of 6 match

How to win the lottery (happily)
There are several flaws with this study though i was excited at first to read it it. The biggest being that its ultimate solution is to remain anonymous. Well, for 45 out of the 50 States that's an impossibility.
Secondly, our jackpots here in the States get crazy big most times (which we love) so before there is even a winner, EVERYONE wants to know who will win. So between the national/regional/local media, social networks, public records, investigative journalists, etc. It is very difficul

Mega Millions Winners - Playing Their Numbers or Quick picks?
Historically, QP's have won the most MM Jackpots.
That is because most tickets sold are QP's.
I would venture to speculate that an even higher percentage of QP's are being sold now with MM's new ultra-ridiculous odds.

Do any systems actually work?
I don't see how anyone could expect lots of jackpot winners when comparing the number of lines a system produces to the total possible lines. When I was wheeling 14 numbers RC5, the probability of matching five was once in 288 drawings. However because I had more than expected four number matches, that system proved to be a success.
Another consideration is the number of lines played and 20 lines only gives a 1 in 100 chances of having all five numbers on one line when all five numbers are ma

Just curious who on here has won a Pick 4 jackpot? I have mentioned before that I won 2700.00 back in February playing 50/50 on some numbers on a hunch. Did not even play Pick 4 that often back then but did then and won. While I was at the regional office in Greensboro collecting my winnings I sat beside a truck driver from Virginia collecting 1000.00 on a scratchy. He told me he has won jackpots on Pick 4 at least 6 times. Has won 10,000 once on a scratchy and there that day to collect on his

Ohio Classic Lotto
Twenty plus years ago when the Virginia lottery was won by an Australian group that tried to buy all its possible combinations it was rumored that such groups traveled the world looking for lotteries with cash vales that exceeded the cost of buying all its possible combinations thus making them easy pickings for groups with unlimited resources.
At the time most states that hadn't done so already changed their rules to guaranteed such could never happen to their lotteries in the future and mak

Why is the Ohio Classic Lotto so difficult to win?
At one time matching 5 out of 6 in the Ohio Lotto game was paid pari-mutual
When was that? Until Rolling Cash5 came along all Ohio games except the jackpots of their anchor game had fixed prize amounts unless all the prizes exceeded the cap and I only remember that happening once when a guy brought 20 Buckeye5 tickets matching all five numbers on each. He expected to get the fixed amount of $100K for each winning ticket but the cap was one million dollars so the state went pari-mutual. Althou

Californians: Do you see SLP reaching 100 mil anytime soon?
Now that we get Powerball, in addition to Mega Millions, I think we're getting conditioned to super jackpots. I play a buck a draw sometimes more, but it's been rolling over at $2 million (sometimes even $1 million), so the additional interest isn't really there.
Last draw had around 3.9 million tickets sold, so even assuming no duplicate sets, it's less than 10% of available combinations that are were in play.
$100 million is possible, but I hope someone wins it soon...

What Lottery games does Todd play?
We all know the odds but if he thought the odds were that bad why waste his time and money building this site?
Because there's money to be made off of people chasing lottery jackpots.
For the record, I don't know what Todd's lottery playing habits are, nor do I think it's anyone's business but his, same as everyone else. If he chooses to share that information, that's up to him. And I don't think anyone should judge him -- or anyone else -- for how much he does or does not spend playing

30 dollar scratch tx in MA tempting me when I've been doing so well on my budget
Hi EdG1955,
I agree that the odds are terrible to win the 15 million since there are only 4 of those prizes. Though there are 36 one million dollar prizes ( still bad odds of winning). Most of the scratch ticket jackpots have lousy odds of winning based on the ticket run of a game and the fact that there are 7,800 retailers in mass selling lottery tickets. I was thinking today that I could buy 30 days worth of Mass Cash at a dollar per ticket in comparision to buying one 30 dollar scratch tic
