I've never seen a lottery that had a number frequency matching its odds of appearance exactly. Randomness keeps this from happening. As such anything is game for the short run.....streaks, skips, whatever. Don't get me wrong, I been playing $500,000,000 Extreme Cash Blast since I started and just came to my senses that this game pays very little and no chance of even hitting a $500 or more. I have played well over 100+ some odd tickets of this game and the most I have gotten is a $200 twice a few hundred and a few fifties. What you're advocating for is UNFAIRNESS. Right now, each person's pick has an equal chance of winning as any other person's pick. Remember, PEOPLE win jackpots, not STATES. So you want to make it so that low population density places like Montana have an equal chance of winning as high population places like New York? That means that for the poor people in high density urban places, their pick and wager counts for LESS than someone who lives on a farm in a small rural town. Is that fair?

That $50K was a pick 4 win. He put $10 on one combination and hit a straight for $5,000 each! It's rare but it does happen. A Canadian millionaire won their jackpot lottery and donated all the winnings to charity (don't quote me but I think it was in the neighborhood of $40 million). I haven't heard anything of the sort in California yet. We do have the potential of that happening with all the billionaires living in the state though I have no clue if any of them play the lottery for the heck

Thanks rdgrnr, I was getting ready to reply as you did but I wasn't sure if temptustoo didn't know or was joking around. It's all random and digital and if dollars are scarce with the jackpots not growing very large, as many people wait for a larger jackpot before they start buying tickets ... might they manipulate the lower numbers (2 and 3) to hit more often? I'm getting tired of never winning anything or only the face value on scratch off's in my state of Mass. This morning I went to a convenience store that I occasionally go to and bought 2 five dollar tickets (platinum 8's). Did my usual and bought just one ticket scratched it in the store and it was a loser and bought the next one and lost on that one as well. They were numbers 36 and 37. Continue to stick to my budget but was tempted to buy one more of those tickets and luckily stopped myself. R
