They were nuts to risk losing their license over something like this.
When video poker got to the point that machines in different locations could all be networked to build jackpots up a company in Vegas had a slot route of poker machines in bars only.
For a long time no one had ever hit a royal. That triggered an investigation and it was discovered that those machines were programmed never to hit a royal.

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
Let's say you lived there most of your life, you know most everyone vice versa. If you Town or City fell on hard times, would to contribute to keeping them in the black- or would you think it none of your business?
Define helping out ?- if you won over $150 mil after taxes, would you mind throwing in up to $10 mil plus to keep the Police, nurses ,firefighters on the job etc.
** Have a Great Weekend People. ..now go out and win these jackpots!

lottery watching us?
Some lotteries added other wagers to their pick-3 and pick-4 games, but none changed the way the games are drawn. We found a few players that might be making an overall profit, but have no proof. The KY lottery probably set a record when in one month they paid out 97% of their pick-3 sales. So even if a system cuts into the profits, the lotteries will still make lots of money. And the pick-3 and pick-4 games have aggregated payout limits.
The jackpot games have limits on the payoffs too and s

Why Do You Think Lottery Winners Always Take The Cash Option?
Wow, so we've moved from reasons to choose cash over annuity to name calling, mud slinging and political diatribe. How about everyone agree to disagree and get back to the actual point.
To that end, very good points LottoMetro. Between history and the numbers, you get less in the long run taking the annuity. And for those who think annuity payments mean that bankruptcy is unlikely because you don't have access to all the money upfront, that's a fallacy. JG Wentworth has made a lot of money f

You Will Never Win A Lottery Jackpot In Your Lifetime.
With an average of about 28 jackpot winners(PB + MM together, not including other state based jackpots) a year, this proves without any doubt that you can win a jackpot in your lifetime vs will never.
One LP winner from PB or MM jackpot will prove him wrong, but I believe Thrifty is being clever with his wording because it's true the majority of the LP readers won't win either jackpot and maybe any jackpot over $100,000. IMO, any payoff of $100,000 or more is hitting the jackpot and wouldn'

How Much Money Do You Spend Playing the Lottery in a Week?
Like my signature implies, I see no reason to play terrible odds games like PB or MM unless their jackpot is significant (and even then, not really worth it).
Last year I spent about $800 on the lottery and ended up with a loss of $285. Only $18 of my winnings came from drawing games, yet I bought nearly 3 times as many draw tickets as I did scratch-off tickets. That should tell you a lot.
This year I haven't bought any tickets yet. Been a little too busy and waiting on some games to get j

Just for fun: You're been through a messy divorce or dumped by your lover- then you win the lottery.
Great to hear noise-gate. Keep the topics coming. I think some want a variety of topics to keep all the crowd satisfied haha. Sure...when either of the big jackpots are 250 million and above everyone has the fever and wants to talk about jet setting, houses, and cars again and again 24/7. When those big ones are won and reset many want some diversity.
I have read the golden rules but topic content seems possibly unclarified. For example if someone posts a topic about the super bowl is that o

What are some dead giveaways that a lottery winner could end up broke?
Everything mentioned so far and let me add buying a lot of very expensive cars.

Anybody ever get th idea that sometimes the Lottery Fairy lets some people win jackpots who she knows won't be able to handle it and does it to entertain herself?

never play quick picks
Someone apparently did:

That justifies his oft repeated claim of 7 Jackpots with over a million dollars total...just barely.

never play quick picks
Duplicate combos will always be around with random numbers in drawings. But there is no set percentage, as the percentage of duplicates increases along with ticket sales. It could start out small, just a few percent. But then as the jackpot grows and sales increase, duplicates can approach 50% or more for really large jackpots.
Similar thing for quick picks. If you buy a bunch of quick pick lines, you're bound to have some duplicate numbers. But that does not mean your chances of winning or p
