Would you be willing to never play the lottery again?
It's harder to win the jackpot of those state 6/49 games than their odds would suggest plus the overall odds of winning something are a lot harder than the big jackpots multi-state games which discourages a lot of players. For example, Ohio's Classic Lotto commonly goes over a year and a half without a jackpot winner and the overall odds of winning something are worst than one in fifty and it's usually only $2. I've been lucky, so far this year I've matched 5of6 and 4of6 once each along w

Iowa lottery new Mega oct 17th 2013
Iowa does not have a separate version of Mega Millions. Mega Millions is a multi-state game -- the same game played in every state. The Oct. 22 drawing will be the first to incorporate changes that are designed to produce more smaller prizes and bigger jackpots, without raising ticket prices. See the news story posted in July for more information.

eelotto Guy system - wins lots of prizes?
I wish people would stop wasting money and buying these systems. Those who sell them prey on false hopes people have that maybe, just maybe, this system really works. Fact is: They don't work. I doubt if anyone is getting rich selling systems that promises more lottery winnings or you wouldn't see posts like the one at the beginning of this thread trying to get some traffic for his website. Certainly no one believes winning million dollars jackpots is as easy as investing a few dollar

Hot Lotto is struggling. So will Mega Millions after October 22.
It is all divide and conquer. There are so many games that nobody wins anything on any of them. Michigan has numerous bad games such as poker lotto(coming), club keno, pull tabs, almost all the scratchers, daily keno, Halloween Raffle and the tired old classic 47. With so many stupider ways to squander money the jackpots just don't get up there anymore and fewer and fewer people win them. Look at that 50 or so million jackpot in Ohio...I believe that has been rolling for over 2 years to ge

I'm changing my playing style for a month
I play Classic Lotto more often than either PB or MM. Better odds of winning the jackpot, and I'd be thrilled with that amount of money. Yeah, I wouldn't turn down hundreds of millions in a bigger jackpot, but the Classic Lotto jackpots would be more than enough for me. I like playing the Rolling Cash 5 when the jackpot rolls higher too. $200-$300K would still be a life changing amount of money for me, and Rolling Cash 5 has much better odds to at least get your money back for the drawing.

Opinion: Would you rather see more than one jp winner when its over $300 mil plus?
Years ago when Ohio' Super Lotto Plus was the most popular game in the area and players from surrounding states were always among its jackpot winners, the state put a $20M limit on the amount one ticket could win thus when the jackpot exceeded $20M and there was only one winners the extra was carried over to the next drawing making it possible for the state to offer more large jackpots. The results were out of state players stop playing and even though that rule was later reversed, that game was

Opinion: Would you rather see more than one jp winner when its over $300 mil plus?
It's the odds of the games that limits the amount of jackpot winning tickets unless widely played combos are drawn. Years ago in the Ohio Lotto, it was common to see multiple jackpot winners and how much each player won depended on how many. Either game could put a limit on the jackpot size and roll down the excess to secondary prizes. Eventually they will draw a widely played combo and then those players can complain when their share was diluted. In California the amount of the 5 + 0 prize d

will ohio and other states follow texas in pick 3 and 4
I say yes. States are starving for money due to the federal budget cuts/debt limit thing. Sequestration they call it? One place where the lotteries earn majority of revenue is the scratch tickets and I suspect there will be fewer winners there. Also games like pick 3 4 which are popular will have multiple draws. Games like MegaMillions, HotLotto, and New Englands Lucky for Life have already seen a matrix change to make it harder to win the jp. I bet state lottery websites will have fewer

Would You Keep $123 Million in one bank account?
The only people more villified than the rich, are the rich who didn't earn it. So for all the little Lord Fauntleroys out there and lottery winners, John Q Public isn't going to bat an eyelash if things get bleak and one way for the country to get money is to gouge those that have much more than the average American. I've seen enough people on this site alone thinking it's unfair for people to win large jackpots, because 'no one needs that amount of money'. Put unemployment up to 20% as it i

Is giving a 2 Week Notice even an option?
You don't claim, and then give a 2 week notice. You give notice, you don't owe anyone a reason, make something up if you feel the need - relocating to be with elderly parents, retiring, etc. I'd give notice so I could train someone in the basics, but use up my PTO before notice was done. We have an office pool for the bigger jackpots, and we've decided should we win, we'll all come in and do a conference call to the corp office in Connecticut to tell them we were cleaning our desks out an
