Damn, I keep putting all the right numbers on the wrong lines...
I've had decent success with 6# lotto getting 3 and 4 numbers mostly ..got 5 numbers once.
I go back 8 draws and pick out the 8 hot numbers and then pick 8 cold numbers from within those 8 most recent draws. Then I mix them up and try for about 20 combos. I've been pretty good at getting 3-4 numbers this way. Maybe someone can backtest a different amount of past draws and see if that makes a difference..maybe go back 12,15 or 20 draws or more to get a bigger pool of hot and cold numbers.

working out syndicate groups?
It doesn't matter when or where you buy 'certain' tickets, if you ever got sued and went to court it would not matter, unless you have it written in the contract that 'only tickets purchased at xxxxx are part of the office pool, tickets purchased elsewhere are not'. I can almost guarantee you the lawsuit would be over you pulling a switcharoo on them, the jury would be sympathetic to them, and you would probably lose, even though people 'magically know' when and where you buy THEIR tickets.

do you have a lucky ritual?
Thanks Pac. I was worried about my post. Thought people might get a little pissed off at me. If I were she, I would have been happy knowing I could shower my husband with gifts. But, no. She was only thinking of plunging into that pool of luxury.
Good news, however. They found her after a thorough investigation. The chief investigator on the case said something really stinks after talking to several neighbors. (one of them turned out to be the stool pi

Georgia truck driver gets a piece of lottery history
JW spent 115 dollars on PB when he won. What it is you have a LOT of casual players who play 5 or 10 dollars, such a vast number that it overwhelms the serious players so that the most likely winner is either some kind of pool group or someone who played 5 or 10 on a whim.
I went to the Leprechaun II in Rutherford hoping for a second strike, got 10 in QP and 1 using System, best outcome was one of the QP had the bonus ball. I normally don't play QPs.
I was hoping there would be a winner

Record Jackpots excluding current Mega
Besides all the bad stuff for which he's become infamous, Jack also did a lot of good, including sharing a big chunk of his winnings. Whether it's an official pool or not, I expect that almost all jackpots of this size get split up a bit. What the entity that wins chooses to do with the money doesn't really count for much when we're looking at jackpot records. Most of the big jackpots have been claimed on a single ticket, and even if it rolls another time or two that's the probable outcome* f

how would YOU change the payouts?
I agree with 1), I totally disagree with 2).
How do we know if the person that 'won' is not somehow connected to the lottery ?
Everyone should know the rules by now, and if the 1 in 146 million chance hits that you or I will be 'paraded' around, then so be it, it comes with the territory, deal with it. If you won, you have 6 months to claim the money, that should give you ample time to do whatever you feel you need to do, as far as moving or making financial arrangements. If your self-es

Trying something new with P4 tiers.
Thanks for your comments maddog - I believe my calculations were correct, however, if you played tier 2 on my example. When I say make , I mean that's the payout, and not the overall profit. Sorry for any confusion. I am not suggesting that anyone play ALL the numbers. That would be fooling IMHO. I stated up front that there are a lot of numbers....
I am just beginning to work on this (and thought I'd share while running my tests)... as I mentioned at the beginning of the thread, that r

proven lotto prediction!!
Horse, you listed 18 numbers.
You have to list the GAMES, not 37% of the available numbers, that won't get you anywhere.
I feel safe in saying if most of us listed 18 numbers out of just 49, we would do better as well, but we are playing 12 out of 55 plus the PB, which is 4/42.
You have to get your list down to no more than 12 numbers or it is unaffordable to wheel, and even 12 is too much for us common folk.
Unless I read the chart wrong, to wheel 18 numbers in order to get just

crooked nose
Using my methods of dream analysis.. I came up with the words Red and Billiards or Pool .
The red billiard ball is the 3 ball. I would hold tight to the number 3. Perhaps as a bonus/mega number.
I'm also picking up some sort of stomach virus or flu. So if you've been sick with the flu within the last few weeks, that would reinforce the number 3 as being very good for you.
I know what you are thinking, everyone's had the flu recently. I'm trying to be more general and less specific

Illinois Gets raffle
Thanks lottolaughs...the pic was created by truecritic. Pretty cool, huh?
My take on the raffle craze is that the state can get a large sum of money in a short period of time, and most of them offer the player much better odds so it's a win-win situation.
For example, the IL raffle is taking in 10 million and giving out 5 million in prizes...50% of the win pool to be returned to the bettors. A cool 5 million profit for the state in about a month. I'm hoping the state lotteries see the v
