Do any systems actually work?
Excellent advice!
I've seen trends or patterns or whatever anyone wants to call them in the charts I made for the game I study and play. I've no idea why they happen, and I really don't care why they happen. I just know they happen.
Will I win a life changing jackpot? I dunno. I might, so I play. I do know that I wont win one if I don't play.
Studying my charts and playing the lottery is my hobby. I do it for FUN and entertainment and I really enjoy it. I also know enough not to go ove

Megamillions and Powerball Games
Here is a list that shows what we play for every time my 5-39 is played regardless
of the numbers, digits, etc....
prizes 5 of 5 = 1 in 575757
prizes 4 of 5 = 170 in 575757
prizes 3 of 5 = 5,610 in 575757
prizes 2 of 5 = 59,840 in 575757

Total possible prizes = 65,621

The overall odds of winning a prize = 575,757 / 65,621 = 8.773974 and this is the
most important number a player needs to know.
We can see that f

Are You Happy with 2014 So Far?
Today is January 15th..1/2 the month of the new year is almost over.
Are you happy with your winnings so far?
For those that made resolutions to play differently, stop playing, start playing a different game, are you changing
anything again after just 2 weeks?
My year so far is pretty good. Unless it changes drastically I'll continue on with what I'm doing and that's playing
pick 3, 4 and scratch offs.

$189 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot rolls again
The near destruction of the Megamillions game because of the $2 Powerball ticket - and the resulting jackpot fatigue - has certainly reduced the overall sales increase figures for the state lotteries, and, I think, may end up with them spinning their wheels.
There is no reason that the new matrix should be any better. There isn't a real increase in the $12 million starting jackpot, since it's merely being masked by changing the annuity scheme from 26 years to 30 years. What we might see is it

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
What Jammy fails to realize is that things can be BOTH ways, random AND non-random at the same time.
With the exception of the very first pick-3 drawing, there is a 65.7% chance at least one of the digits from the previous drawing will repeat. There is 72% chance all three digits will be different too. The reason it is a random drawing is because only one three digit number will be drawn, but that doesn't change the fact that number will either be 1 of 720 numbers or 1 of 280 numbers. Does

Should I buy 5 QP in one ticket or 5 QP in 5 separate tickets?
The trouble with Random is ANYTHING can happen within the limits of the game.
If you don't like your Quick Picks there is nothing you can do about it.
IMHO the optimal strategy would be to make your line(s) in CoverMaster using Timed Random which means your lines will be generated randomly and at the same time form a portion of an open cover wheel so previously lines are taken into account as each line is generated.
Once the lines are made, if you don't like them you can cli

Statisticians search for how to beat the lottery
KY Floyd,
I agree. You're better than me when it comes to explaining these concepts with words. I may post too many numbers at times but there are some who benefit from this. Here is a supplement to your above explanation.
As the house edge increases in games of chance, without changing shape, graphs of Return On Investment (ROI) slide further and further to the left of the Break Even point. If you look back at a bar graph of ROI in a simulated Pick-3 game with a house edge of 50%, you wil

Have you at times temporarily abandoned MM & PB for the lower hanging fruit
Pick 3 and Pick 4 payoffs will give you a thrill but aren't life changing.
If there was a way to hit them even once or twice a week or so and show a profit, it would be fun but not life changing. I don't consider playing $220 a day to 'win' $40 or $80 or an occassional $290 or $500 winning.
A Pick 5 jackpot game is the same way, a one time usually six figure payoff but that's it.
Our state lotto (Illinois) hasn't had a jackpot that even comes close to the MM start point of $12M in quite
