Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
The powerball jackpot has rolled over and is now predicted to be $47.8M cash or $100M annuity. On the last run for a large jackpot (the one that reached $340M annuity) there were annuity jackpots of $92M and $108M. The sales average for these two jackpots (the average value of the annuity jackpot is exactly the average of these two) was $20.6M. If the lottery sells $20.6M in tickets this time, the probability of various numbers of winners is given in the following table:086.85%112.25%20.86%30

Tenn lottery
I voted Add more draws to Lotto 5. Not that it will do me any good - it's still too far to drive to the state line to play every day.TN Lotto 5, in it's current format, has some pretty nice jackpots on many occasions. I wonder if it will ruin the game if they go to 5 or 7 draws. Would more draws result in more, but smaller jackpots?Although I play it once in a while in GA, I think TN should avoid Lotto South and opt for their own in-state Lotto - A 6/46 matrix game drawn every Saturday.

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
My theory as to why the jackpots are lower around this time of year is because of the holidays. After Thanksgiving, people tend to do their shopping and the lottery isn't on their list. So as peoples wallets take a hit from gifts, so does the jackpots increments.

MM - End of a Great Streak
I don't play the jackpots to raise 'em, I play to win 'em. I see no problem with the smaller jackpots, it's still alot of money for me at least. I think many people tend to get hung up on only wanting to win if it is over 100 million and I don't understand that. I would love to win a lower jackpot, even if it was a measly 12 million. But then I guess that is just me.

MM - End of a Great Streak
Mega Millions just came to the end of a great streak. It had 7 consecutive winning jackpots that were over $100 million. The first 4 were under the old matrix and the last 3 under the new. The winning jackpot values were: 130, 112, 208, 106, 170, 258, 315.Prior to this streak, the longest streak for both Mega Millions and Powerball of winning jackpots over $100 million was 2. Mega Millions had 3 streaks and Powerball had 2 streaks.

MM and PB Jackpots
Powerball only raised $9 million in the last drawing while Mega Million raised by $10 million. Could Mega Millions catch up to the Powerball jackpot during these runs?Brad

Which is better?
Quick-Picks and Self-Picks which one is better? well that's an easy answer neither one is better than the other why? simple both methods have won Jackpots and it doesn't really matter which method won the most because it only takes one hit and most players buy quick-picks so therefore a lot of your Jackpots are gonna come from Quick-Picks .Your average/typical player will usually buy a quick-pick over trying to select his own numbers unless they use the old Anniversary,Ages,Birth

MM Jackpots Part II
I predict that MM jackpot will roll on the draw on Tuesday 11/15. I predict the North American jackpot record will shatter in MM's drawing on 11/18. I predict it will be 365+ million or >= 363 million. What would be the MM jackpot on 11/18?

Quickpick or QuickRIP?
Your absolutely RIGHT I don't care if Quick-Picks won more Jackpots than Self-Picks because when I played quick-picks I never won anything, and if Self-Picks won more jackpots than quick-picks I wouldn't care about that either especially if I wasn't winning anything selecting my own numbers.Besides as I stated earlier both methods are quite capable of winning a JACKPOT all you need is ONE hit so who cares whether one method wins more than the other.I know players personally that have hit the nu

MM jackpots
I think it will roll 2 more times and then someone will hit the MM jackpot on 11/18. Therefore, I think the North American jackpot record of 363 million will be shattered by MM on 11/18.
