Office Pool concept
I'm looking to create an office pool, and there's a lot of avid lottery players. But I'm torn on how we should create this pool. Is it better to have a higher buy-in amount but provide a better payout odds if one of the tickets win? Or, is it better to have a low buy-in amount, but the prizes will be split by 10,000 participants? (not sure if I would go that extreme, but definitely a possibility.) I would allow people to buy-in multiple times, but maybe there are some people who would only

How exactly are lottery scratchers numbered in CA
Hi Think, I understand what you are saying, and thanks for that. I just think it's very odd that those numbers do not correlate with tickets (supposedly) sold, and there is no formal site showing how they are actually numbered. There should be some way to corroborate the site statistics with actual numbers, and book 1million doesn't match what I would expect with 18million. I could understand if somehow each pool was random or had gaps for security, or something else, but that would mean the

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
The program got two things right. The two best way to increase one's chance of winning the lottery is buying more tickets and joining a pool. Personally, I combine the two recommendations into one. By joining a pool, you get to participate with more tickets. This is most valuable when there is a huge jackpot. I am fortunate I was able to join a pool for tonight's Powerball draw. Rather than buy 10 Powerball tickets on my own, I contributed the $20 to a pool of 50 people. Here is t

Ultimate Vtrac Playlist
vtracs always leaves you deciding which single number to play in a group of 48 if straight plays are played. Now comes the factor of when will the one in the group Hit.. It's not really a good system unless you can utilize it to profit from. I have not seen anyone since the inception of this track system's materialization actually profit from it. The way to use it is to test forward or back test and keep profit loss logs of wagers to see if the individual can use this method. Don't

California office pool claims $543 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
if I gave you 10 million dollars as a gift I would owe the IRS 4million on top of that. That's true, but if you pay somebody their rightful share of a lottery jackpot it's not a gift and it reduces your taxable income. In theory it might be possible for one person to act as a sole winner while collecting the prize and then follow the necessary procedures for income tax purposes but it would be messy. Besides the probability that you'd be violating the lottery rules you were required to foll

Any Lottery attorney's?
he was basically a runner. I've got to assume that anyone who took issue with what he was doing thought he was more than the errand boy performing a task for, or on behalf of, other people who needed lottery tickets from, and perhaps there's a valid reason that they were right. It's perfectly legal to buy tickets at the behest of other people, and it may well be perfectly legal to charge them for your time. If not, then every person who organizes a pool and goes out to buy tickets for th

Do you play alone or in a pool?
Both pool and on my own. I only play PB, MM, and Tx Lotto. I actually run 2 different pools at work for MM and PB. One is just with my supervisor her reports, a total of 5 people. Then we have a larger pool open to all the employees in our office or that work out of our office.. 19 regular players, 1 semi-regular, 1 irregular, 2 never play, and 3 who asked to be excluded. Every drawing is a new lottery pool, and winnings stay with only those in that pool, and usually roll to the next drawing.

Interesting happening within our lottery-pool at work... no not really
Ok - so everyone is excited about the Billion dollar+ jackpot. I get that - I'm excited as well. I am part of a small yet intense lottery-pool at work. 20+ in the group depending on whomever pays for that week. Simple enough. A different person (rotating) buys tickets each week to share the responsibility - and then scans all tickets and emails them to the playing members. So far so good - yes? Welp - just got an email from this week's buyer. She decided (all on her own) that we needed to buy
