How many times a week do you play the lottery?
I play something everyday, but usually $1 - $2, so recreational player. In Illinois Lucky Day Loto (5/39) is the biggest thing going on Sundays and Thursdays and ironically on those days it's usually at its $100,000 starting jackpot. Quite often it gets hit the night before. There have been times the jackpot has ben ovr $1,000,000 so when that happens I might 'go wild' and play $1 for each $100,000. Otherwise it's MM and PB. The state Pick 6 is usually very weak compared to those jackpots.

Concurrent Billion dollar MM and PB jackpots?
Very unlikely since neither one has ever hit the billion dollar mark. Both games probably would have hit the billion dollar if they would have rolled 1 more time when they sat there records. Powerball jackpots are increasing faster now that California has joined. Powerball has rolled now last 10 drawings and the annuity JP is now at 222 mill. When PB set its record of 588 mill its JP was sitting at 168 mill after 10 rollovers and it was at 214 mill after 12 rollovers. Took it 15 rollovers to get

How many times a week do you play the lottery?
I'd say I'm a moderately serious player. I'm in every draw for the big 2 plus Hot Lotto and occasionally Wild Card 2. But I think of serious players as the ones who don't blink an eye at spending $50 per game per draw, and I hardly ever go over $5 per game per draw. And it's usually less. I think of recreational players as the ones who keep an eye on the jackpots, but only play when they feel lucky, or only play when the jackpot is high. They don't mind if they're not in a draw.

Concurrent Billion dollar MM and PB jackpots?
California is gonna win both, just you watch. Stoick: When we crack these jackpots open, all Hell is going to break loose. California : In my undies. Good thing I brought extras.

All Connecticut lottery results now available
Thanks for the nice comments all! By the way, I know the demand for these results are not as big as Connecticut, but it's probably worth mentioning that South Dakota's entire Dakota Cash drawing history (including jackpots) is now online too. Still a few more loose ends to tighen up, but the list is getting smaller!

Richard Lustig was just on "Sunday Morning"
The guy does a lotta talkin' but if you notice he never really says anything. Budget your money and Don't buy QP's is a secret strategy to winning jackpots? I don't think so.

California - Highway Robbery in Progress
The laws of probability say that California would be perfectly safe having fixed prize amounts, nut the legislators apparently have some issue with it. Mayne they've got some completely illogical reason for having parimutuel payouts, or maybe they just can't grasp the math. California may be better than some other states, but there are definitely a lot of legislators who apparently don't understand science. If I was in California I'd be paying attention to whether or not there were any 5+0 wi

is anyone making an income from lottery
I said the jackpot is a fixed $25,000 with an aggregate of $250,000 and the WVA player won four or five jackpots and had multiple tickets on the winning combo each time. Didn't you know players can wager on the same combo multiple times and win up to $250,000 in each drawing? But of course you will tell us the most likely way this WVA player won multiple lotteries was by designing a winning system. He won his prizes playing the same game in one year. Just based on the fact he had more th

If in the future there was a $1 BILLION Mega Millions or Powerball Jackpot..
I could blow a billion in a day easy. Just give 999 other LP members a million each. Lol Seriously, estate homes, yachts, private jets, and fleets of exotic cars would cause one to burn through that kind of money in 3-5 years. I think that we are going to see concurrent billion $ jackpots between MM and PB. It's been too hard to win lately. States like California, New York, Maryland, and Illinois can't even win.

As a player: When do you think the JP is high enough and ought to be won?
One of the wisest things I ever saw posted here on LP (and I'm sorry I forget who posted it) was the jackpot you want to hit is the one right after someone else has hit one of the huge jackpots that cause a frenzy but they haven't come forward to claim it yet. So you'd get your 'measely' $12M MM or $40M PB and no one would care, they'd be waiting to see who won the big one. Sounds good to me.
