Oh??? i wasn't aware of any changes in PB coming up till you said so. i just googled powerball changes april 2015 and saw the bad news and poorer odds to win the jackpot now becoming 1:285,000,000. i wonder if the minimum jackpot will increase from starting at $40million? also, what will be the new odds to win the 2nd tier million $$$ dollar prize? and with the new PB multiplier does one have to pay any extra $1 to get this multiplier $$$ benefits?

The belief will always be there, course, when jackpots get larger that tends to aid fuel the fire just a bit more. Every now and then I look at the past winners on the state lotto, PB and MM lists, reread their stories and think what I would be doing if I won that amount. I know there are things I can't do any more because of age...... BUT,,,,, becoming a jackpot winner is not one of them. It's a unique feeling like no other because if/when it happens it probably will change your life...well....

Your state lottery website should have all the gory details for MM and PB. I assume you live in MI, being a Detroit Lion fan. At any rate PB jackpots start at $40 million annuity, which would be approximately $25 million cash value. Increases by at least $10 mill each roll if no one wins it. When it gets higher, as around $100 million, it will increase more than $10 each roll. Did you watch PB when the jackpot was over $500 million and won by three winners in February?

I agree with everyone who opposes this proposed bill. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that American citizens have a constitutional right to privacy in most areas of their lives, and I believe this is one of the areas where the right to privacy exists, and people shouldn't have to pay for a constitutional right. If this dubious bill passes, hopefully it will be with a reduced fee of 1% of the winnings, with the 1% figure made permanent and not allowed to increase ever.
