Follow-up to reducing 90,000 combinations
An update for those forum members kind enough to post suggestions. Approx 3/4 weeks ago during continual experimentation, I realised I d made a near fatal error, in my interpretation of statistical data for one of the UK 6/49 parameters. Which ultimately meant that to produce the same 7 jackpot wins each year I would have to generate a wheel with between 350,000- 500,000 combinations. My original 90,000 combinations generated using the original filtering criteria including the erroneous crite

possible to form a lottery club in mass?
Quote: Originally posted by Bingo Long on March 16, 2005I've done a little with lottery pools in MA. In short, it's possible, but a real pain.First off, you know how on the back of the ticket it's got all that legal mumbo jumbo about the official rules and administrative bulletins, etc? Well one of the rules is that you agree to have your photo taken for lottery promotional stuff. So you can't legally go the anonymous trust fund route.Second, only one person can claim the prize if you win. This

Dumbest Game Ideas
Here are my top three in ascending order:3. California Daily DerbyO.K., this game is crazy. It seems like a mish-mash of a Pick 3 game and a exact-order 3/12 lotto game. All tied into a concept that doesn't translate well into an on-line lottery game. 2. Pennsylvania Lucky For LifeIMHO, the reason the For-Life games in OR and WA were successful lie in the way the game is played. Pick just 4 numbers from a large pool of numbers, you'll get several additional sets of numbers too. And the odds of

Powerball as you have never seen it
RJOh,I had this idea in 1996 with the old Super Lotto 6/47 game. I wrote the Ohio Lottery Commission and ask them their thoughts. I got a nice letter back from the Chief Legal Council of the OLC. She told me where I could look in the ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 3770 dot something, you know how state laws are section this or that. Any way this is what she pointed out.Block Bet.......A block bet can occur one of two ways. Either I am standing in line with a large sum of money and play slips and prdven

The odds of record-setting jackpots in the Mega Millions lottery will improve tremendously after California joins the multistate game later this year. The nation's most-populated state will bring an influx of new players and money that promises to boost the lottery's prize pool for players in all Mega Millions states. Jackpots will grow much faster and at much higher levels, said Carole Everett at the Mega Millions lottery's headquarters in Baltimore. The lottery is drawn in Atlanta.California w

Ad blitz fuels Massachusetts Lottery success
Massachusetts lottery profits are on a record-setting pace this year, but officials are retooling the sagging Keno operation and launching new games to maintain the growth of state-sanctioned gambling revenues. Last year, our net return to the state was $912 million, which was our best return ever, Joseph Sullivan, director of the Massachusetts State Lottery told the Herald. We're on pace to beat that. Our first quarter, from July through Oct. 2, we're 5.4 percent higher in terms of our net pro
