That's an interesting viewpoint. I think the lottery operates as any good business and tries to minimize risk as much as possible for their own financial gain. We just have to be smarter as gamblers. Learn as much as we can to reduce our own risk (playing fewer numbers) but also playing numbers that make the most sense based on past trends and future forecasts. Also use progressive wagering to increase our own profits. Lets all look forward to 2015 and be prepared to make it a winning and profit

Not a fan of the changes either. It's another mechanism to reduce payouts (increase profits), along with the odds creeping up this year with top prizes. Think about it. $100,000 x 52 weeks is $5.2 million. They're getting rid of end of game payouts starting with new Scratchers. The end of game payout for one $20 game alone is $5 million. Add up all the other games plus the quarterly payouts, and you'll see that this new improved 2nd chance program is far from that.

Nice wins everyone. I been playing alittle heavier this week. short story is I convinced work I was way underpaid and got a nice yearly increase. Figured I would celebrate and get a few extra tickets instead of my 1 here or there. I didn't go through them all yet. I was detoured and hit a different wawa tonight. What are the starting jackpot and minimum rollover amounts? You will be correct, if the starting jackpot stays at $40M with $10M rollovers per drawing. They have to increase one or both to support those odds.

i believe there are many ways of winning and some are easier, and some are more costly. Which one would you prefer? Personally, I'd go for the easier. The last thing I want to do is increase cost. Yeah, that's the ticket ! (No real puns were harmed in the making of this skit)
