Pa. man pleads guilty in bizarre lottery tax case
It appears many folks are confused at what the true Federal tax rate is on Lottery winnings. The 25% Federal tax that gets witheld on major Jackpots is just the initial down payment. The top tier Federal tax rate is currently 35% and is set to go up in 2013. The winner is still responsible for the other 10% but he/she can mitigate the additional tax owed by working with an experienced CPA and tax attorney.
This is the number one reason why so many Jackpot winners get in trouble because they a

$202M Powerball ticket sold at suburban Des Moines convenience store
Powerball jackpots build up so fast that there is no need to envy anyone. There is a need of money to play these lottery games. The powerball jackpot will be $100M within 6 drawings. Get your money ready.
I forgot that $40M is a life changing amount. Wow, do we have a break with powerball? Dream on America. Let me go and buy a $2 powerball ticket in order to have a chance at $40M.
Should I start playing at $50M, $60M, $70M, $80M, $90M or $100M? They are all life changing amounts for

$200 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
Wow...I always have a play in for every drawing, but never felt compelled to buy any more plays. I did not win but feel good that I did not get caught up in jackpot amount hype. I actually lived by my mantra thatother jackpot amount only matters AFTER you find you have the winning ticket! I can adjust my dream accordingly...I have $25 million dreams as well as a few nine figure million dollar dreams, but I don't allow my optimism to ride the jackpot amount roller coaster.
Funny how I aM

Opening statements in $3M NY lottery ticket trial
The politicians know illegal immigrants play the lottery a lot and for that major reason they will not jeopardise this sure source of revenue just to
deny the few who win. The only situation that I can think of that would prompt laws to be changed is if illegal immigrants won big jackpots back to
back.

California man collects $120M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Maybe there's some hope for me yet. I matched 5of6 in Ohio Super Lotto ten years ago but that was so long ago it doesn't count any more.
I was checking the MegaMillions sales figures for each state and Californians spend more money on MM tickets than any other state, no wonder there are so many stories about them winning the MM jackpots. Just proves if you keep buying tickets, one of them could be a winner some day.
I wonder if the winner was one of his personal picks or a quick pick.

The Mega Millions Is A Very Random Lottery Game.Mega Ball 11 Was Drawn On September 11, 2012.
Oh my, I see California won two MM jackpots in a row. The one on July 27 was the last one won before last night. Also, if you think the draw results were weird, you should have had the numbers I got on my quick pick yesterday:
11-16-29-39-49 and MB 12
Now, what do those six numbers have in common? They contain either the numbers 9 or 1 . I'm shocked nothing really bad happened to me yesterday with those numbers!

With PB and MM BOTH approaching $100 Million...
ALL YOU NEED IS A LOTTERY TICKET AND A DREAM.
MM and PB jackpots can be won at any level.
ONE TICKET WILL DO THE JOB.

Why do people give away their lottery system?
First of all cajun, lets just say we all love your system, especially Helka. Now if Helkas husband had been smart enough to play all your lines instead of just 5 out the 6, then she wouldn't have had to divorce him.
But its not the system you are giving away. There is no system. Only a way to interpret randomness. Its the ability to automate the system so you dont lose your mind trying to figure out the next draw is why we share.. I think giving away systems is more about finding somebod

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The winnings took care of the cost of play and I made a couple bucks, but...........
Are you saying you played a 5/39 game for 45 drawings and made a profit but you had a problem because you didn't win the jackpot? If your cost was covered and you made a profit, why couldn't you continue to play even if you never won the jackpot?
Ohio's Rolling Cash5 is usually won 2-3 times every week and its jackpots are always $100K+ and have been known to exceed $500K. Maybe a similar system is bein

Kentucky Lottery moving drawing show to the Internet
That would be why jackpots rollover and accumulate til somebody wins.
Which means money that is designated for prizes always goes to the players.
In Arizona, even unclaimed prizes are in large part donated to good causes.
