Press releases say that hundreds of people played the digits from the TV show Lost . One the show a character won $156 million playing 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. Could you imagine if those numbers came up? That would have been crazy.Brad

Of course the system would not know if you picked the numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6. You definitely would not get much money if by some miracle the numbers hit because about 10K people a day play 1-2-3-4-5-6. This reminds me of the TV show Lost. When the fans of that show played Hurley's lottery numbers of 4-8-15-16-23-42 in the ($355M) Mega Millions drawing in 2011 and hit 4 out of the 6 numbers and 26K people won $150.

Just a tad bit off topic...but is sorta-kinda-maybe relevant.Did anyone see the Tv show LOST on 3-2-05? The show was about how Harley won a huge lottery with an odd set of numbers and afterwards, really bad things happened all around him and of course, it all got tied back to the island. And yes, I did check, none of the numbers actually hit the Megamillions (only one I checked) in it's entirety and I am sure a few MILLION folks gonna play that series of numbers for a while now.Just an odd thoug

"Lost" Numbers
I don't think this has been asked (at least since I've been here), but is there anyone here who ever plays the Lost numbers from the TV show Lost that used to be on ABC? I've heard of people playing them in the past and they nearly came up once on MegaMillions (http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jan/06/entertainment/la-et-lotto-lost-20110106). I've started watching this show through Amazon Instant recently and was curious if anyone every tried these numbers out. ..They're cursed ya know

Exactly, I was also thinking of the TV show lost. Thousands of people have been playing Hurley's lottery numbers for years and finally won $150. This is why I try and stay away from popular patterns and TV lottery numbers. Sharing the prize with so many people would be a bummer.

There were a set of numbers on this TV show LOST that one character used to win the lottery. Every person that used that set of numbers to win something (including the lottery) had horrible luck.
