The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The Lottery hasn't updated the weekly Raffle sales data yet, but I bought a ticket this morning around 11:00, a week after the lottery's last update. My ticket was 2775xx, and the lottery's last reported was 263272. 2775xx minus 263272 equals 14228. 14228 divided by 7 equals an average of 2032 tickets drawn per day this past week. We're 89 days into the Raffle, so 2775xx divided by 89 equals 3118. 3118 times 122 (number of days in the Raffle) equals a potential total sales figure of 38

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I've rethought my ticket buying strategy..... I decided to buy one raffle ticket per week in June. I'm gambling that there wont be a ticket buying frenzy during June. If there is a frenzy, no harm done. If there isn't one, I figured I'd be better off with more tickets in my hand than not. I stopped in a RaceTrack today and bought ticket number 2984XX. BTW I was shocked when I ordered one Florida Millionaire Raffle ticket and the clerk responded with You want MegaMillions? She had never sold

Not too sure about that. I don't buy raffle tickets but take a look at the number of replies in the Florida raffle thread in Discussions.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
263272 tickets sold as of 5/21. Let's work this one from the back end. 640900 tickets need to be sold just to fund all prizes (so, does not includes costs incurred by the Lottery to set up the Raffle, or associated advertising, and does not include funding for education, which is the Lottery's raison d'etre.) 640900 minus 263272 leaves 377628 tickets needing to be sold by June 30, the last day to buy tickets (40 days from now.) 377628 divided by 40 equals an average of 9440 tickets need to

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Update from Florida Lottery: 299435 tickets sold as of 6/4. At 96 days in, that averages to 3119 sold per day. The drawing is 26 days from 6/4, and if sales hold around that average, we are looking at a potential total Raffle sales around 380529.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
248156 sold as of 05/14, so only six days instead of seven between sales updates. That averages to 2625 sold per day for the past six days. Seventy-five days into Raffle sales, the average sold per day is 3308. If the average stays in this neighborhood for the entire 122 days of sales, we're looking at somewhere around 415,000 tickets sold.

Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
I couldn't agree more with that statement if I had to. I just happen to be in the middle of taking a break from playing the games I usually play but it's not because I'm keeping an eye on myself. It's because of that Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle. Tickets went on sale on March 1st and cost 20 bucks a pop and the final drawing to win a million dollars isn't until July 2nd. I've been averaging buying one ticket per month. (That's not true, I bought 2 tickets in May because 40 bucks c

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I first went into a very busy Circle K at lunch time. It's new and was recently opened. Big mistake! I was at the tail end of the line and the clerk motioned for me to go to the head of the line. So I said excuse me and walked past guys who had been in line prior to me even though I had absolutely no idea why she called me to the head of the line. I asked for a millionaire raffle ticket. She looked at me and said A millionaire raffle ticket? To which I simply said Yes . She l

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
... whether or not the Florida Lottery will cut the number of winners from 10 down to a lower number due to lower sales is another thing altogether. The snip below is from the Raffle Prizes page. Looks like they only need to sell 1 ticket to award all prizes! Now that's a business plan!
