Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
Two employees of a Chicago Heights, Illinois, bakery are suing co-workers over a $118 million Mega Millions jackpot, alleging they were unfairly left out of the winnings.
Jose Franco and Marco Medina were regular participants in a lottery pool with co-workers at the bakery for about a year, according to the suit.

Lottery winner buys golf course
Recent lottery winner Wally Markham isn't just a member of his local country club he owns it.
Markham, 65, won the Iowa Lottery Hot Lotto jackpot in November, netting about $3.5 million after taxes. The retiree invested most of his winnings, but first set aside enough to buy the faltering La Porte City Country Club.

Six $1M Powerball tickets claimed by one Arizona winner

The Arizona Lottery announced today that all six $1 million Powerball second prize tickets won in Arizona from the drawing on Wednesday, April 25 have been claimed by one person.
The six $1 million winning tickets were purchased by one Glendale resident at the QuikTrip located at 6702 W. Glendale Ave. in Glendale. The winning numbers were 4, 25, 29, 34, and 43, with Powerball number 29.

Woman accuses son of taking $51 million lottery ticket
A California woman has sued her son and accused him of making off with her $51 million Mega Millions lottery ticket, and then racking up expenses on houses, cars, and cash gifts.
The legal dispute between Etta May Urquhart, 76, and her son Ronnie Orender, who had been a truck driver, centers on who owns the ticket. She admits he signed it, but she is the one who lottery officials acknowledge bought the slip of paper.

Woman arrested for trying to fake jackpot winning lottery ticket

An Elgin, Illinois, woman tried to cash in on the record $656 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot with a ticket she bought online eight minutes after the winning numbers were drawn, officials said today.

Trains and subways might zip along a little faster in Philadelphia this week after a group of 48 transit workers hit a $172 million Powerball lottery jackpot.

Virginia woman wins $1 million lottery twice in the same day
Winning the lottery once in a lifetime is pretty lucky. Winning the lottery twice in the same day? Virginia Fike is one of the few people that can describe that feeling.
