Multi-state lottery game comes to Arkansas
After a false start, Decades of Dollars finally lands in fourth state

In January, a new multi-state lottery game called Decades for Dollars was introduced, and was intended to be offered in the state of Arkansas, but legislative obstacles stopped the plan dead in its tracks at the time.
Now those issues have been cleared, and Decades of Dollars has landed in the state three months after the game's first drawing.

Indiana scientist wins $74M Powerball lottery jackpot
The Hoosier Lottery said Friday that April 2011 will go down as a big month for Powerball players in Indiana who have won back-to-back jackpots totaling nearly $300 million.
A pair of welders from Clarksville, Ind. claimed the first jackpot of $221.7 million and the holder of the $74 million ticket from the April 23 drawing is Hoosier native, William Bill Swanson II of Houston, TX.

Lottery ticket worth $1M purchased in tornado-ravaged N.C. neighborhood
Someone purchased a Powerball ticket worth $1 million from a convenience store on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina, in a part of the city wracked by a tornado.
The drawing was Wednesday night, and the winner had not come forward late Thursday, said spokesman Van Denton of the N.C. Education Lottery. The ticket was purchased at the Express Mart-New Bern Station near Tarboro Street.
