N.J. deli waits for its $212M Powerball winner to surface
Someone who bought a Powerball lottery ticket last week at Gene's II Deli in Morris Township, New Jersey, could be a very rich person, but the winner of Saturday's $211.7 million jackpot has yet to come forward.
Lav Patel, a co-owner of the Speedwell Avenue deli and convenience store, said someone had called three times Monday from three different telephone numbers to verify the winning number.

Man retrieves $250K lottery ticket from trash
A Maryland man threw away a $250,000 Mega Millions ticket before realizing his mistake and finding it after a 90-minute search.
The 49-year-old man, whose name wasn't released by Maryland Lottery officials, bought several tickets for the March 9 drawing. After checking them and thinking none was a winner, he threw them out.
A Maryland Lottery employee told the winner's brother that a $250,000 winning ticket had been sold at the store Barnabas Liquors in Temple Hills.

Calif. man claims $134M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
The multimillion-dollar man has been found.
California Lottery officials Tuesday announced the name of a man, believed to be a Long Beach resident, who has won the $134 million Mega Millions jackpot.
The winner has been identified as John Dalkos. Officials said Dalkos showed up at the Santa Ana District office on Monday afternoon to claim his massive prize. Dalkos declined to be interviewed, they said.

S.C. Lottery sales up by 3 percent; Powerball sales down
It's early yet, but the multi-state lottery game Mega Millions has not sent lottery ticket sales shooting through the roof in South Carolina.
Overall, sales are up about 3 percent. But sales for the state's other multi-state game Powerball are down.
For roughly its first month of operation in South Carolina, the Mega Millions jackpot game had sales of $2.3 million, according to state lottery figures, as South Carolinians got their first crack at a second, high-sweepstakes game.

Mega Millions lottery game coming To Oregon
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is about to become Oregon's second major lottery jackpot game.
Ticket sales for the popular United States lottery game will begin in Oregon March 28. As of that time, 37 states will offer Mega Millions. (Arizona is due to start Mega Millions sales on April 18, becoming the 38th state, and Colorado is due to start in mid-May, becoming the 39th.)

Montana Lottery to offer Mega Millions starting Monday
Montana Lottery players soon will be able to try their luck with the multistate Mega Millions game.
The Montana Lottery will begin offering the Mega Millions game on Monday, Mar. 1.
Mega Millions drawings are Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Mountain Time (11:00 p.m. Eastern). Tickets may be purchased in Montana until 8 p.m. the night of the drawing.
The game is played by choosing five numbers from 1-56 and one number, the Mega Ball, from 1-46. Players alternatively may choose a Quick Pick.
