Oregon Lottery draws first raffle
The Oregon Lottery yesterday held the state's first-ever raffle, the appropriately-named St. Patrick's Day Raffle, resulting in one new millionaire and over one thousand other prize winners.

The game has a total of 1,011 cash prizes, with a top prize of $1 million cash.

N.Y. man claims $26M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
A 45-year-old Wyandanch, New York, man is a mega-millionaire.
The yet-to-be identified New York State Lottery winner came forward to claim his Mega Millions prize yesterday, lottery officials said.
Depending on how he wishes to be paid, either in installments or a single lump sum, his winnings could be as high as $26 million before taxes.

There haven't been many happy stories involving Indiana auto workers lately, but one family is an exception.
A mother and her two daughters, one retired from General Motors and two who work for Delphi in Kokomo, cashed in Monday, claiming an $11 million Hoosier Lottery prize.

For more than 30 years, Gilbert Steve Proctor has installed telephone cable.

Robert Space got into work at the Chubb Insurance company at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, realized the lottery ticket he was holding matched the winning numbers, and fired off a one-line e-mail to his nine co-workers who had pitched in to buy it.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot is worth an estimated $212 million. Right now, it is the largest lottery jackpot in the country, including the multi-state Powerball. In fact, it's the largest lottery jackpot in the world.

Two tickets will share $174M Powerball lottery jackpot
Tickets sold in Delaware, Pennsylvania
Two tickets for the Powerball game Saturday night one sold in Delaware and the other in Pennsylvania matched all five numbers plus the Powerball drawn to win a share of the top prize.
The winning tickets will share a jackpot prize of $174.4 million, or $87.2 million each.

$212 MILLION: largest Mega Millions lottery jackpot in a year
There has been another rollover in the top prize for the multi-state Mega Millions lottery to $212 million.
It is the largest Mega Millions jackpot in more than a year. On February 22, 2008, one person from Georgia won a $270 million Mega Millions jackpot.
The rollover occurred because no player matched all the winning numbers from Friday night's $171 million drawing.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday night.

$50.3M lottery prize to be split 4 ways
There were four winning tickets sold for Saturday night's 6/49 draw offering a jackpot prize of $50.3 million: one in Quebec and three in Ontario.
The lucky Ontario tickets were purchased in the Sudbury area, as well as the Halton Region west of Toronto and Durham Region east of the city. It was not immediately known exactly where in Quebec the winning ticket was bought.
Each winner will receive just under $12.6 million.
