Illinois lottery has 1 winner in $4 million jackpot
The Illinois State Lottery says one player matched all six numbers in Monday night's Lotto drawing, earning a prize of $4 million.
The lottery says the winning ticket was purchased at a mini mart in Mapleton, a village near Peoria. The Lotto grand prize for Wednesday night's drawing resets to $2 million.
Also on Monday, 26 players matched five of the six winning numbers and will receive second prizes of $606.50 apiece.

N.J. store seeking owner of $2.5 million winning lottery ticket
Wanted: The winner of a $2.5 million Pick 6 Lotto ticket.
The Quick Mart on Washington Valley Road has posted a letter from the New Jersey Lottery congratulating the store owners for having sold the top winning ticket in the Dec. 29, 2008, Pick 6 Lotto drawing, but those who work there can't figure out who bought the winning ticket.
When people ask who won, we say, We have no idea,' said Tony Cirelli, a store employee.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls to $120 million
The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing was raised to $120 million.
The rollover occurred because none of the tickets sold for Tuesday night's $103 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number. The next drawing will be Friday night.

Lottery business for the Mega Millions $103 million jackpot drawing tonight was unusually slow in downtown Detroit on Monday due largely to the closure of federal government offices, banks and financial markets for the Presidents' Day holiday.

California school teachers hit $76M lottery jackpot
A group of 15 teachers and administrators at Shasta Lake School, who've been playing the state lottery together for seven years, picked the winning numbers for a $76 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot that was drawn on Saturday.

Single ticket wins $76M Calif. lottery jackpot
A single California Lottery ticket purchased in Shasta Lake hit all six winning numbers in Saturday night's SuperLotto Plus game.
At the time of the draw, the jackpot was the largest in the nation at $76 million.

Nationwide, lottery jackpots keep getting bigger
Around the United States, lottery jackpots are continuing to grow larger, making the allure of picking up a couple extra lottery tickets ever-stronger.
Leading the pack is the California SuperLotto Plus jackpot, which rolled to $76 million last night when no ticket won Wednesday night's $70 million top prize.
