Florida woman claims $11 million Lotto jackpot
Just what do you do with $6.1 million?
Titusville neighbors now have a chance to ask one of their own after 54-year-old Della Nelson claimed the state's coveted Florida Lotto prize Tuesday morning in Tallahassee.
Nelson chose a one-time lump sum of $6.1 million before taxes nearly a week after purchasing the winning ticket in the $11 million drawing, officials said.
She came forward this morning, said Leslie Steele, a Florida Lottery spokeswoman.

One ticket wins $11 million Florida Lotto jackpot
One ticket sold in Titusville matched all six numbers in Saturday's Lotto drawing from the Florida Lottery.
The ticket with the numbers 1-5-12-27-33-52 is worth an estimated $11 million.
Other prizes to be awarded:
99 tickets matching five numbers are worth $4,777 each,5,755 tickets matching four numbers are worth $66.50 each, and,119,152 tickets matching three numbers are worth $4.50 each.
The estimated jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is $3 million.

Man reports $7,000 scam by 'lottery winner'
A good Samaritan was taken for a ride he won't soon forget after he reported being scammed $7,000 by a man who said he won the lottery.
Here's what happened, according to the victim and a North Miami police report:
The victim, a 68-year-old Aventura, Florida, resident, was walking in the parking lot of Home Depot, 12055 Biscayne Blvd., at about 10:30 a.m. on a recent Wednesday when he was approached by a man who said he was an undocumented worker from Honduras and needed help finding a law

Two Florida Lotto players share $12 million jackpot
Two tickets matched all six Florida Lotto numbers to share a jackpot of $12 million, lottery officials said Sunday.
The winning tickets were bought in the cities of Tampa and North Miami, officials said.

Lottery scammer busted by Border Patrol
A woman accused in Illinois and Florida scams and featured on the TV show America's Most Wanted was arrested in El Paso, Texas, a report said Wednesday.

A steady stream of customers has been coming through the Cumberland Farms store in Port St. Lucie, Florida, buying potato chips and gum and trading rumors.
The store was identified early Thursday as the location where one of two winning tickets was sold in Wednesday's $82 million Florida Lotto drawing.

The Cumberland Farms store on Floresta Drive was a revolving door of media and frequent customers who had heard the news Thursday morning that one lucky Florida Lottery player bought the winning ticket there.
