Indiana governor drops lottery privatization
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels said today he won't make a renewed pitch in the upcoming legislative session for his proposal to privatize the Hoosier Lottery, saying lawmakers will be too busy considering property tax reforms.

Man calls lottery sales in smoky store 'discrimination'
The Texas Lottery Commission's sale of tickets in stores that allow smoking could be a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the attorney general's office said.

Tennessee Lottery oversight meeting delayed
Update (Nov. 9, 2007, 11:18 am): See below for rescheduled date and time.
The Joint Lottery Oversight Committee in Tennessee, which was scheduled to meet this month to discuss the many problems recently plaguing the Tennessee Lottery, has been delayed.
