California man who stole roommate's $10 million lottery ticket received 8-month jail sentence
A 36-year-old Vacaville, California, man who police say stole his roommate's lottery ticket worth $10 million in late 2018 struck a plea deal earlier this year and was sentenced to eight months in Solano County Jail.
Court and Solano County Jail records on Monday indicated that Adul Saosongyang had been relegated to a local commitment under the state Penal Code, but, in a separate document, also indicated he pleaded no contest to attempted grand theft.

Maryland man collects second big lottery prize in two years
A Maryland Lottery player followed up a big win two years ago with a $50,000 jackpot from a scratch-off ticket.
The 52-year-old Glen Burnie man told Maryland Lottery officials he was at the Wawa convenience store in Glen Burnie on Saturday when he decided to buy some $500,000 Crossword scratch-off tickets.
The man said his first two tickets were losers, so when he got to the third ticket he decided to just scratch off the prize check area and scan it with his phone.

Lottery player wins $150,000 in New Jersey, $100,000 in Pennsylvania
A New Jersey man is a two-state lottery winner after winning $150,000 in his home state and $100,000 in Pennsylvania.
The winner, identified as Thomas A. of Pitman, told New Jersey Lottery officials it was just luck that he decided to buy a High Card Poker scratch-off ticket with a spare $5 he had left over from buying some more expensive lottery tickets.

Illinois Lottery winner puts half of $500,000 prize into Bitcoin
An Illinois resident who won $500,000 in the state lottery has revealed he put half of it into Bitcoin (BTC) back in May.
Reddit user Joxnlol posted an image of himself clutching the Illinois state lottery check on Nov. 5, with the caption: Did this. Then put half into BTC in May. Remind me in 8 months if I f****d up.

A Massachusetts man won his second $1 million lottery payout last week less than two years after drawing a lucky ticket for the first time.
For the second time in 18 months, Rolf Rhodes of Mendon has won a $1 million prize on a Massachusetts State Lottery instant ticket.
