Mississippi Lottery targets Dec. 1 startup date
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation says it plans for stores to be selling scratch-off lottery tickets by Dec. 1.
That's the target date, said Gerard Gibert, vice chairman of the lottery board. It could be a little before, or a little after we haven't selected the vendors yet... But the plan is to have scratch-offs in as many retailers as possible by Dec. 1.

A South Carolina man became a multi-millionaire during his lunch break, thanks to a lucky North Carolina Lottery scratch-off game ticket.

Massachusetts husband, wife are both $1 million lottery winners
A husband and wife from Southeastern Massachusetts have now each cashed winning $1 million Massachusetts State Lottery instant tickets.
The husband, in fact, has won twice.

UK Lottery refuses to pay out £4 million win on suspicions ticket was bought with stolen bank card
UK Lottery officials have refused to pay out a 4 million (US$5.2 million) jackpot to two players who they suspect had purchased the winning ticket with a stolen debit card.
Lottery operator Camelot grew suspicious of Mark Goodram, 36, and Jon-Ross Watson, 31, when it emerged neither of them had a bank account to receive the winnings.
