Long Island co-workers claim $437 million Mega Millions jackpot
A group of Long Island area co-workers have claimed the $437 million Mega Millions jackpot for the January 1 drawing, the largest jackpot in New York Lottery history.
The 23-member group has claimed the prize through the New Life 2019, LLC, opting to take the lump sum payment totaling $262,213,914.
They will receive a net check of $176,155,308 after required state and federal withholding.
They have also chosen to remain anonymous.

A family Christmas tradition of giving Connecticut Lottery tickets turned into a $3 million win.
Santa arrived with a $3 million gift recently from the Connecticut Lottery's Dec. 25 Mega Millions drawing. The ticket was sold at Avenue News in Bristol and claimed on Feb. 1.

Lottery ticket purchased in central Iowa puts man's dream car within reach
An East Moline man stopped in a central Iowa convenience store last month to grab a coffee, snack and what ended up being a pretty lucky piece of paper, the Iowa Lottery announced Monday.

Multi-state Cash4Life may become daily lottery game
Lottery players in nine states may soon have a chance to play the game Cash4Life on daily basis.
The move from a twice-per-week to daily drawings was approved Monday by members of the the New York State Gaming Commission. If approved by the other eight states that offer the game, Cash4Life could adopt a daily drawing schedule starting on July 1.

Brooklyn truck driver quits job, comes forward as $298M Powerball winner
A truck driver from Brooklyn has come forward as the winner of the second-largest Powerball jackpot in New York Lottery history.
David Johnson, 56, won the Dec. 26 drawing for the $298.3 million jackpot and has already quit his job to start enjoying an early retirement.

Illinois lottery officials are searching for a mystery millionaire who has just one month left to come forward.
The winner of a $4 million prize sold at a Chicago gas station for the Feb. 23, 2018 Mega Millions drawing has just 30 days to claim their prize.

Here's how a big money winner could end up being a bit of a money loser for South Carolina.
