Second lottery win in 2 weeks worth $1M for Missouri woman
A Strafford, Missouri, great grandmother scratched off a lottery win two weeks in a row, and the second one was a whopper.
Doris Danielson first won $1,000 on a 300,000,000 Golden Ticket Scratcher ticket, prompting a trip to Lottery headquarters in Springfield to cash it in. While there she scratched up a $1 million jackpot in the same Scratcher ticket game.

Three pharmacy employees charged in lottery theft scheme
When Police Chief Brennan Baird examined a video obtained off a hidden surveillance camera in the Rite Aid store of Danielsville, Georgia, the chief reported he was astounded at what he observed.
A store employee was suspected of stealing money to purchase Georgia lottery tickets inside the store and the video showed a behavior of constant thefts, according to the report. Store officials suspected her of taking money on hundreds of occasions.

An 86-year-old California man said the Virgin Mary may have had something to do with his $696,000 California Lottery payout.

A husband and wife who won big off a 2014 Illinois Lottery scratch-off say they don't want what happened to them to happen to anyone else.
Rafael Borsas says he and his wife, who make less than $80,000 a year, went to a nearby Key Express Tax service to have their taxes prepared for them. An employee at an Iowa lottery retailer is charged with stealing a winning $250,000 instant scratch ticket and working with her boyfriend and mother in a clumsy attempt to claim the prize, investigators said last week.

Maryland resident wins lottery twice in one day
A Cecil County resident won back-to-back Maryland Lottery scratch-offs Thursday, according to officials with the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
The anonymous winner won $11,000 after purchasing two $100,000 Gold Rush scratch-offs from the Stop-N-Go in North East, officials reported.
Unlike other states, under Maryland's lottery regulations, the winner does not have to publicly identify themselves. Lottery officials reported the winner is a 67-year-old Elkton resident.
