Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich says due to recent jackpot runs for Powerball and Mega Millions, Iowa Lottery sales and profits are running about a month ahead of projections.

A homeless Michigan man who realized he won the state's Lotto 47 game dived into a dumpster to retrieve the winning ticket.

Iowa lottery winner donates $500K to veterans' group

A Powerball winner in Iowa this week donated $500,000 of her prize to a group supporting disabled veterans.
Lerynne West, who was part of a group sharing an-almost $700 million jackpot, announced the donation on the Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday.
