$300 MILLION: Massive Powerball jackpot fuels New Year's dreams

Lottery players looking to start off 2016 by with a bang might want to consider purchasing a Powerball ticket this week.
For only the third time this year, the multi-state Powerball lottery jackpot has crossed the $300 million level, which traditionally triggers a substantial up-tick in lottery ticket sales.

$50 million Lotto Max winners finally revealed after 2-year fight to remain anonymous
The winners of the $50 million Canada Lotto Max ticket, sold in Langley, British Columbia, in March, 2014, say they will be continuing with their lives, like normal.
Friedrich Mayrhofer, 67, his wife, Annand, and his son, Eric, have been named as the claimants of the prize only the second $50 million jackpot in B.C. history.

$63 million California Lottery ticket expires soon
State no longer publishes surveillance video of ticket purchases to find winners
A $63 million Super Lotto prize may become the largest unclaimed prize in California, but many prizes big and small go unclaimed every year, a spokesperson for the California Lottery Commission said Saturday.
Roughly $25 million per year in winnings are not claimed, said Alex Traverso.

Iraqi's Oregon jackpot raises questions on lottery sales

$144M Powerball jackpot won in Tennessee claimed by trust

The second largest prize and fourth Powerball jackpot won in Tennessee was claimed today at the Tennessee Lottery's Nashville headquarters.
The $144.1 million ticket, purchased at Hobson Tobacco and Beer, 2216 Hobson Pike in Antioch, was claimed by the Avondale Revocable Trust.

For the first time since 2013, a winning Mega Millions jackpot ticket has been sold in Ohio, lottery officials announced early Saturday.

Calif. Lottery looking for $63 million winner
Someone could be $63 million richer, but just doesn't know it yet.
The California Lottery is looking for the winner of a SuperLotto Plus ticket valued at $63 million, which was sold in August at a 7-Eleven store, at 20871 Lassen St., in Chatsworth.
