Georgia Lottery wins ruling in $5 million trademark dispute
The Georgia Supreme Court has ruled against two men who sought $5 million in damages from the Georgia Lottery Corporation in a lawsuit over the MONEYBAGS$ logo.
The suit was filed by George Kyle, who obtained a registered trademark for the MONEYBAG$ logo and game in 1995, and Frank Mankovitch, whom Kyle had been given the exclusive right to market the game. The logo consisted of a velvet pouch containing wooden tiles.

Lost lottery ticket worth $50,000 returned to winner
John Holder must have felt like he couldn't win for losing.
The 45-year-old Columbia resident worked as a roofer until a back injury forced him to live on disability benefits. He's resided at an assisted living facility since December.

Calif. store sells $2M lottery ticket 1 month after starting sales

A winning scratch-off lottery ticket worth $2 million was sold at a Spring Valley, California, 'mom and pop' shop that had only been selling lottery tickets for a month, lottery officials announced Monday.
The winner wished to remain anonymous, but lottery officials said the Set for Life ticket was purchased last week at Ray's Market at 9762 Campo Road.
Ray's Market opened for business six years ago and just started selling California Lottery tickets in July.

Gamblers are getting a sneak peak at a new game from the New Hampshire Lottery that could net them $100,000 a year for life.
Lottery Commission Executive Director Charlie McIntyre will unveil the commission's $20 instant ticket Set for Life game on Wednesday in Center Conway.
