The North Carolina Education Lottery wants to begin a midday numbers drawing early this spring.
Lottery executive director Tom Shaheen says the Pick 3 drawing would be performed identically to the numbers drawing held every night.
The midday drawing would be held Monday through Saturday.
Shaheen says an extra daily drawing would raise more revenues while giving the lottery another opportunity to attract players. Shaheen didn't give an exact start date to lottery commissioners hold

Another day another mistake for the Tennessee Lottery
Can it be possible?
It appears that once again the Tennessee Lottery has made a mistake so glaring it requires them to pay out two sets of midday numbers.
The lottery spokepeople must be getting tired of the mistakes too, because they didn't even attempt an explanation this time.
A terse statement on the Tennessee Lottery web site Monday evening reads as follows:
The official midday Cash 3 and Cash 4 numbers for Sept. 17, 2007 are 133 for Cash 3 and 6121 for Cash 4. Players can clai

N.C. Woman Still Waiting For Lottery Payout
Gertrude Hill writes out checks to pay bills, but like most of us, she could use a little extra money to help pay.
Hill thought she'd gotten extra money in March when she won the N.C. Education Lottery for $500. She went back to the Sam's Mart in the University area where she'd purchased the ticket to redeem it.
(The clerk) took the ticket and he scanned and he said, 'I don't have that much money,' Hill said.
The clerk told her to take the ticket to a grocery store chain that they wou
