saw a win all on youtube on the extra play for 40 - but am strongly considering after the take 5 promo ends on 11/1 shutting things down for the rest of the year (will likely be minimum 3-4 weeks tho)

Did an odd job for a local store recently, moved a bunch of network, cable and telephone wires and moved their computer systems into another room. Got paid pretty decently, so I decided to try a few scratchers just before leaving.

I picked up two $5 chilli pepper payouts 006 and 007 which were both dud's.

I was debating on some of the new 50X the money tickets, but decided on a $300K bankroll

ticket that was on number 010. It hit five matches at $20 a piece. Turned my $20 into $100!

That feels like winning the power ball for me, I was so happy.

I might try a few of the 50X tickets soon.

Bought two $500 frenzys today on my way home from my first job.

Stopped off to cash the $100 winner, saw the frenzies and figured why not.

Needless to say, both duds... more $500 winners for tormentor!

Cashed in the $25 after work bought 2 Chili Peppers hit the 5x Symbol for $50, bought 4 more from a different roll hit another $50, bought 4 20x hit another $50, bought 2 Spooky Loot hit for $25, bought 2 Wild Cherry hit a Wild Symbol for $20, bought 1 King of Cash hit $25, then bought 16 $2 Frenzys and hit a Burst, to think this all started with $1 is so cool. I love days like this!

I hope the Xmas tickets are better this year, last year the tickets were terrible..

One of the few goods things about the NY Lottery is that they sometimes have promos. Some of these are around Christmas time where they go to local stores and when you play x amount of scratch offs you get to spin a wheel. That wheelsometimes gives free seasonal scratch offs.

There is a store around where I live that participates. Last year I won a t shirt, two water bottles and a few scratch offs... They were all losers but hey... You never know. Right?

did that in March at Stew Leonard's and Yolanda Vega was there, kept spending $20 at a time to play that dice drop game to get free Cash Extravaganza games, one was a $40 win (the wheel is every $10)

they having that same event on Sunday but not sure w Yolanda Vega, but think they giving away free Extra Play - I like the back scratchers but the ones that I have been spending my money for are losers

Hey guys,

im new to this forum and im from VA. After wining my first $100 on a $10.00 Green ticket yesterday, I was hooked and immediately started looking around for some guidance on how to constantly bring those winnings in. So i found this forum and this Thread that is updated consistently.

I read on here a lot yesterday and did my research and found the $10.00 Green tickets had the best odds 33% chance of winning and a majority of unclaimed prizes. So I decided to use about half of my $100.00 earns at 4 different stores. I bought 4x Green tickets yesterday and this morning and they all were duds, except 1 that won me $10.00 back.

I guess after this experience im left with a couple questions.

What strategies are people using to bring in consistent winning tickets?
Are people playing more of the low cost tickets over the higher?
Would you ever buy two or more of the same ticket off the same roll?
Are you staying constant only playing one game or do you change it up now and then?

Guess i just want some guidance.

Welcome Drewr4411! I think you will find there are no strategies! Lol! It is just right place right time. Most of us on this board spend a lot on scratchers so it may look like there are consistent wins but don't be fooled. There are consistent losses as well. Just find a budget and stick to it. Most of us play at several different stores which can help your odds. Some stores are hot when others are not. Usually your high volume sales stores are the best. They sell more tickets therefore produce more winners. Also as far as the ticket value, the higher the ticket price usually the better the odds. I see you are already researching odds so continue to do that. Good luck to you.

Something that you said has show me some truth. All of my winnings so far have come from the major 7/11 across from my work. This place is alway busy and people are in and out all day long.

Played another green ticket at a giant next to my work and it was a bust.

I hope some good plays come up.

Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to stop AGAIN but still playing..... sorry for not posting pics but to be honest it's because the wins didn't really mean that I made a profit. Just sort of broke me even lately... anyway, my two good wins lately--and I find that games are streaky, if I find a game that seems to be hot, that game seems to be hot all around my area. If it's cold, it's cold everywhere. Example lately is the old ten dollar game $200MS... got one a couple weeks ago and it had a star symbol, hundred dollar win. Went ahead and bought 10 more from the same roll and ended up with another hundred dollar winner and another 70 dollars total on the other tickets. Then at another store hit another star symbol, and had another hundred dollar winner. Again, this doesn't mean that these were profits, just got lucky to hit those amounts and keep playing. (For those who seem to care about how much everyone spends, ha!)

A clerk told me that the ten dollar 50X was hitting a lot lately-- got a few, and kept noticing the 5x symbol a lot. Usually it was just for a ten dollar break even win, or maybe another single match of 5 bucks for a fifteen dollar win, but low and behold I got one ticket from Publix, number 47, 5x symbol with a hundred underneath it for a $500 win. Should have taken a picture, but again I'm honest and believe me--it was a sigh of relief to just get that win to end a horrible losing streak.

Then a few nights ago I played the Flamingo $20 game. Had a break even win and then the next one...........I uncovered the 100X symbol.... (now, I learned my lesson on the 100X game because I previously uncovered a 100X symbol on that game only to wait all day to scratch off the 2.00 prize underneath and reveal a $200 winner off of the 100x symbol. So, as fate would have it, and at least I didn't wait, I wasn't surprised when I scratched the 2.00 prize underneath THIS 100x symbol on the Flamingo game. My only surprise came when I uncovered 5 more matches of $40 and realized that at least this was a $400 winner instead of only a $200 winner. Didn't take a picture because, again, it was more a sigh of relief and not a feeling of joy that made me want to take a picture. I should have simply to be able to post it here and show that the 100x symbol on Flamingo actually exists. My bad for not posting the picture.
