ugh, I'm so mad right now. I've been wanting to try a method I read about in a forum somewhere. I picked all the numbers in a megamilions game, and then allowed the computer to also pick some. I bought $38/1 tickets. I definitely wasn't dumb enough to get the megaplier, but this is the second time this week I've tried it.
The issue was, I expected the computer to just automatically bubble in the remaining quick pick numbers. As it did with a local lottery game. But instead, the (thankfully customer service friendly) clerk had to input all 38 boxes manually. There was only 1 person in line waiting, but I still felt like some crazy person taking up 15 minutes of time.
Well the draw results came in today and from what I can tell I only won $2. And only from matching 2 MB numbers. I am in total disbelief. I really can't believe it. I thought I'd atleast win $50, $500 or $5,000 lol. Atleast 3 or balls. And non of them lined up, even using a certain hot/cold graph and spacing them out accordingly. The computer seemed like it was making algorithms that I've seen hit before based on the 2 numbers I picked per each box. Overall Odds of 14.7? And out of 38 non but 2 win with just the megaball?
I'm sure if I used the strategy every drawing I'd win more but of course that wouldn't be feasible. Using more numbers will slightly cut the cost...but it's rare to get more than 2 numbers right on any MM.
I'll scan the tickets later just to be sure, but I feel dumb. I just knew I should have used that to either buy 4 $10 scratch offs and won something or our states 5/35 1/5 game. But even with the much lower odds, our state game with quite a high jackpot of 1 million pays out horribly for matching 3 or 4 numbers and I've not even done that. I feel if I'm going to spend a $1 for either game, go with the one that has the highest yield. But it seems like even the draw games that are 1 in 200,000 aren't much easier to come across either. It's so frustrating. That's why I think the rules should be changed to where each number is worth something substantial instead of such exorbitant jackpots. But, I choose to play....the FOOL lol.
These draw games are so hard! I'm really about to just stick with my favorite state's game whenever I visit. They have fantasy 5 and lucky money which I think are better. Plus they tend to draw daily.
