yep, and look at our price of gasoline per gallon to states just next door to us like in Virginia and South Carolina. You pay about 30 to 35 cents more for gasoline per gallon here in North Carolina than you do in Virginia and South Carolina because of the crooked extra gasoline tax we have here.
I have friends / relatives that work at stores right on both borders, and they tell me all the time about residents and business owners in North Carolina that live right on the border who go to the Virginia and South Carolina stores all the time to fill up because gas costs so much here. We lose millions of dollars every year in our own economy because of this ignorant thinking.
Way to go North Carolina politicians .... just like when you refused to put a lottery in long after south carolina and virginia had already got their lotteries going. For years, you would see millions of north carolinians every year going across the state line to these two states to spend tens of millions of dollars in money in these other states lotteries that could have been going back into our state. We always manage to screw ourselves or shoot ourselves in the foot out of greed, stupidity or both.
agree with you, Ladybug !
