  Simple physics dictates that every action has anequal an oposite reaction. Within a contained field of lottery balls in the machine this holds true as well.

  The main thing then becomes one of discovering which forces exert the greatest influence on positions?

  The answer to that from a physics perspective is that the greatest forces do. Those being the induced energy via mechanical means.

  The next question then arises as to how is the induced energy distributed within the field of objects? 

  This seems to be the point of constenation to most people and the most difficult problem.

  That being how to resolve the energy distribution equation with variables of friction, drag, impact etc that vary according to spacial positioning, temp, humidity etc. 

  Gravity is a relatively weak force in the overall energy equation and a minor contibutor. And don't forget that energy can not be created or destroyed. Just transformed frim one form to the other.

  Figure out how to plug all of that into the AI and you will still get variable outcomes.

  Oh and you will need to be able to mapp the exact position of every ball at the start and account for their potential energy.

  Alternatively you could guess.

  Alternatively 2 I could contact you privately and disclose another way of looking at probabalistic outcomes using dynamic data evaluation systems.

  Maybe he should try SwiftKey combined with hypnosis from one of the clients to train AI/NN and apply, any made up witch craft strategy against Random Lotteries...That is why he is here no?

  I like this portion of the Aussie response here because not only is it true, it's basic and addresses the core issue of what's actually happening. I'm still seeing where, in my opinion, players are putting way too much emphasis on this game with exotic technologies. I mean, we're only dealing with numbers within a given scale depending on what game is being played and, as the OP implies, simply requires a careful balancing of deliberate combos targeting the action. Honestly, it's just a simple matter of observation.

  Small games, frequent wins, and regular payouts 'cause.....

  Here's two ideas on the powerball lottery only. I think this machine mixes the balls the least compared to other machines. 

  1)Find a pattern or bias based on how the balls are loaded before the drop

  2)Go by the order numbers are drawn...does one number or cluster of numbers predict in any way the next number or cluster of numbers. Could one of the four machines used, drop one of the rows just a centimeter quicker than the other rows and could this have an effect that could be caught by your super computer.

  figure out which numbers come out with other numbers most often, to create 5 number clusters that closestly match known sums and historical lexographical order based on history of the game.

  I am doing research in Australian Lotto (6/45, 7/45 & 7/35+poser ball) and have collected the actual results for nearly the last 200 draws.  Trying to apply the some of the stock market methods and have achieved reasonable results by applying the technique to the actual draws.  The theoretical, random pick return is about 30% while I am getting regularly 45%-90%, occasionally getting into the profit area.  The idea is to come to the point of getting my money back regularly so as to keep playing for free until I strike the big one.  So far, I have achieved chance of 1 in about 1.5 million (sometimes better) compared to the theoretical chance of 1 in over 8 million (for 6/45).  I use 3 parameters, one being the slow moving average combined with the fast moving average.  This method splits the numbers into two groups (not necessarily of the same size) so the task is to forecast the approximate number of numbers from each group.

  I would need a program to help me speed up the testing.  At the moment it takes me about one hour to test 200,000 dry runs.
