  According to Lunar New Year on Tuesday, the February 5th is Spring Chinese LUCKY New Year of the beautiful earth (color brown) Pig (smiling chubby cheeks)- it's celebrated as a ancient venerated symbols of wealth, honesty and prosperity :-)

  There's no set date for Chinese New Year

  According to the Lunar calendar, the Spring Festival is on January 1st and lasts until the 15th (the full moon). Unlike western holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, when you try to calculate it with the solar (Gregorian) calendar, the date is all over the place.

  Chinese New Year ranges from January 21 to February 20. In 2019, it occurs on February 5th.

  The Chinese New Year of 2019 falls on February 5th (Tuesday), and the festival will last to February 19th, about 15 days in total.

  2019 is a Year of the Pig according toChinese zodiac.

  As an official public holiday,

  Chinese people can get seven days' absence from work, from February 4th to 10th.
